This is the sequel to the reboot. Produced by The Rock.

The good: if you liked the reboot Jumanji a lot, you will likely enjoy this one.
There are some twists and turns in this one, and also plenty of plot holes you should just ignore.
Plus, I think Karen Gillam has more screen time than last time, and in the same skimpy outfit that her character sports. I know she recently had a birthday (same as Mary-Elizabeth Winstead), so this should be a nice boost for her career. For those who are fans of her, this should provide your fix.

The not-so-good: They mostly just found some highly annoying characters to add to the rotation, and a modicum of effort was made to craft a script around these new additions.

There is one coda. It is completed before the End Credits are rolling the main characters/actors.

I didn't even know it was a reboot. I thought it was a continuation on the original.

Who played Dr. Stoneheart in the Bonnie Hunt version? Who played Nigel?

I didn't recall much similarity, or continuity suggesting the same story arc, the continuation rather than reboot.

The Sequel to Jumanji (1995) was Zathura, which I liked immensly better, other than the Dax Sheppard part - although who can play a man-boy-child better than he? Director Favreau, stars Josh Hutcherson and Kristen Stewart in early roles.

I don't remember much about the original Jumanji except for Robin Williams and Kirsten Dunst, even though I saw it in the theater. I remember really liking it, but I've never seen it again since then. I half-saw Zathura in my late 20's, but it was just on in the background while I was doing something else so I didn't really give it a chance.

I was just saying that I thought I'd heard at some point that it was a continuation of the original one. I could be mistaken or maybe the person that I heard it from was.

I don't personally find her to be that attractive, but she does look nice in that outfit though.

You are welcome.

I do find it impressive that the look was maintained with this many years elapsed. Not all Hollywood actresses choose to do that.

I bet it is. It's got a relatively small Domestic Box Office, but the Week 12 numbers it put up are much, much higher than most other movies out there. Including good ones.

Pretty impressive.
