The Plot Bunnies are beating on me again. After watching the final episode of Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles, I had a weird idea for a Firefly/Terminator: The Sara Connor Chronicles crossover fic. No Rayne this time either. Set shortly after the BDM. Ignores the upcoming movie and travels in a wholly new direction with many continuity errors from the movies and TV Show. I am not as knowledgeable of the T:TSCC universe as I am with the Firefly/Serenity 'Verse. Please don't throw things.

Chapter Eight

-

River kicked open the hatch to Jayne's bunk and slid down the ladder, Cameron at her heels, “We must hurry.”

“How will we find them?” Cameron asked.

“Inara is getting closer. I can feel her. Logic suggests that Wing will bring them to his ship since he has no fixed base of operations here on Santo.”

“Sounds reasonable,” Cameron replied.

River ripped down the blanket covering the Mercenary's arsenal. Deftly, River pulled Vera free and handed it to Cameron, “Vera has more recoil than I can handle comfortably.”

Cameron nodded and took the weapon. River pulled loose a smaller assault rifle from the makeshift rack, “Jess is just right,” the psychic smiled.

Quickly, River climbed out of the bunk and crossed the passageway to her and Cameron's bunk. In a moment she returned with hers and Cameron's pistols along with a small duffel bag.

“Body armor,” Cameron said.

“In the bag,” River replied.

“Lets go,” Cameron stated.

“River?” Reagan called as the two girls headed for the ramp, eyes wide at the arsenal being carried.

“No time to chat, Mom, time to be big damn heroes... again.”

Simon stepped up next to his mother, followed by Gabriel, “Mei-mei?”

“Will return soon, damsels in tow.”

“Damsels?” Gabriel asked, still quite appalled at what was happening.

“Captain, Jayne, Zoë and Inara.”

“Are you wearing...” Simon began to ask.

River unzipped her leather jacket, revealing the body armor underneath, “Yes.”

“What about Cameron?” Gabriel asked.

Cameron grinned and rapped her knuckles against her chest, “Coltan alloy, no need for armor on the outside.”

“Time to go,” River stated before exiting the ship, Cameron a few steps behind.

Gabriel and Reagan stood side by side, nearly in shock, “Simon?” Reagan said after a moment.

“They will be fine Mom. I'm still concerned but for good or ill, this is what River excels at. The Alliance turned her into a weapon. Now, River chooses when and how to employ that weapon inside her. And from What Cameron has told us. She was designed as a weapon from the start.”

“To be honest,” Simon continued, “Wing and his men don't stand a chance.”

“Does... does this kind of thing happen often, Son?” Gabriel asked.

“Surprisingly often, I'm afraid,” Simon replied with a sigh.

Inara was tied to a simple wooden chair. She was blindfolded and gagged. She had been like this for nearly an hour. She swore to herself that when the opportunity arose, she would kill Atherton Wing with her bare hands.

She sensed someone approach. A hand pulled her blindfold off, “Hello, Inara,” Wing leered.

Unable to speak, Inara just glared at her captive.

Grinning, Atherton caressed Inara's cheek. He expected her to draw away but the former companion continued to stare daggers at him.

“What shall we do first, my dear? I assure you that I will save you for last. What will it be? The Mercenary? Your dear Captain? Or... oh, I have just the thing... the First Mate.”

Wing snapped his fingers and two men dragged Zoë into the room, she was still unconscious. With practiced ease, the lackeys began to strap Zoë down to the table. Inara could see how they gazed at the amazon. Inara knew what was about to happen. She looked up at Atherton, a pleading expression on her face.

Wing leaned over and with care, removed Inara's gag, “That better?”

“I swear to you, Atherton,” Inara began, “That I will kill you. And if you touch Zoë, you will die very slowly.”

Wing snorted, “Inara, you are in no position to do anything,” he leaned in close, “I have the power here, Whore. First, my men are going to spend some time with the lovely Ms. Washburn. Then, I'll bring in Mr. Cobb. I assure you his death will be quite painful. Then I think I will bring in Captain Reynolds. And while he watches. I will take you Inara. And when I am done. I will kill him. If you please me, I may allow you to live, My dear Inara. But your ultimate fate is still to be decided.”

The sun had just set and all over the port, floodlights began to turn on, creating macabre shadows between the ships.

Through those shadows, two black clad women moved from one spot of darkness to another.

“There,” River stated as she pointed to an expensive spaceborne yacht.

“How can you tell?” Cameron asked.

“I can feel Inara. And the name of the ship.”

Cameron looked and nodded. On the side of the sleek vessel was the name, 'Swordsman'.

Swiftly, girl and cyborg covered the ground to the vessel's hatch.

River considered the keypad next to the door, trying to figure out how she would be able to override the locking mechanism.

Cameron grinned and gently eased River away from the door, “Allow me...”

Cameron's sensors analyzed the tensile strength of the metal, weak points and the best places to apply pressure.

Grabbing the outer mechanism in her hands, the cyborg then swung up and braced her feet against the hull, drew back her fist and punched...

Right through the door.

The hull rung like a bell from the impact, Cameron reached inside and found the emergency hatch release. Once the locking mechanism was disengaged, She ripped the door completely off the ship and threw it several feet away.

“You do know how to make an entrance,” River grinned as she launched herself through the now open hatchway.

Wing had put Inara's gag back in before he approached Zoë, tied to the table in the corner.

With an evil grin, he retrieved his sword from it's case nearby and approached the still slumbering First Mate.

With deft skill, he used the point of the blade to pop the buttons off Zoë's shirt. One by one until her chest was exposed. With a flick of his wrist, Wing cut the center of Zoë's bra, completely exposing her.

Tied to the chair, Inara struggled to free herself.

Wing looked back at Inara and leered, he turned back and slowly drew his tongue across Zoë's cheek. He glanced back at Inara and smiled.

When wing looked back to the First Mate, his breath caught as he realized Zoë was awake. Before Wing could react, she head butted the aristocrat.

“Gun-hoe-tze-bee-dio-se, you bitch!” Wing snarled as he staggered back, shaking his head to clear it.

Zoë began to struggle to free herself, “You better hope I don't get loose you, huh choo-shang tza-jiao duh tzang-huo!” Zoë snarled, “Cause I'll pull your entrails out through your nose!”

Wing snarled and slapped Zoë across the face. In return, she tried to bite his fingers. In a howl of rage, Wing drew a strap across Zoë's abdomen and sinched it tight. Then Wing's hands began to work Zoë's belt.

“Liou coe shway duh biao-tze huh hoe-tze fuh ur-tze! Get your gorram hands off me!”

Wing yanked Zoë's pants down to her knees. Just as he was about to jump onto the table, a loud metallic clang was heard.

“What the hell was that?” Wing thundered.

“I don't know, Mr. Wing.” one of the underlings answered.

“Well, go find out, you idiot!”

XXXXXXXXXX

“Mmmmrgh... my head,” Jayne muttered.

“Join the club,” Mal muttered.

“What the gorram? I'm tied up!”

“No kidding, Jayne,” Mal replied.

“Where the hell are we?”

“Atherton Wing's ship, I reckon.”

“Wing?”

“And when I get loose I'm gonna kill him,” Mal promised.

Suddenly the cold deck they were laying on shuddered with an impact and a metallic clang was head.

Jayne grinned, “Think the Cavalry just showed up.”

“Reckon you're right there, Jayne,” Mal agreed.

Cameron stepped in front of her erstwhile sister. River growled slightly but relented when she remembered Cameron's core programming to protect her. They hadn't made it more than a few feet inside the ship when they were spotted.

“Hey! You!” a crewman yelled drawing his gun, Cameron and River shot simultaneously and the man fell to the deck, side by side bullet holes in his forehead.

With the sound of the gunshots, more crew began heading in the direction of the hatch.

River and Cameron shared a smile.

XXXXXXXXXX

“What's the matter, Wing? Things not going as you planned?” Zoë taunted. Even though she was stripped nearly naked and was on the verge of being raped, she refused to cow to Wing.

Wing growled and climbed off the table, buckling his pants. Inwardly Zoë sighed in relief.

Grasping his sword in one hand and a pistol in the other, Wing stuck is head out into the corridor and nearly got it shot off for his trouble.

“Gorramit!” Wing growled. Wing moved swiftly back to where Zoë lie on the table. He pointed the gun at her head and lay his blade along her throat. Zoë lay very still while her eyes promised a long painful death for Atherton Wing if she got loose.

“Not so smug, now are we, Zoë?” Wing crowed.

A gurgled scream was heard and one of Wing's men flew through the air past the open door, landing with a wet thump outside.

As Wing swallowed, Zoë detected some nervousness from her captor.

A moment later, twin teen aged girls stepped through the doorway, pointing pistols at Wing.

“Move away from Zoë,” they said in unison.

“I don't think so,” Wing replied, “Drop your weapons or I'll slit her throat.”

Off to one side, Inara had stopped struggling. She knew that even without guns, Wing would still be in trouble..

Zoë knew it too when a slow smile came across her face. Wing gestured with his pistol, “Drop the guns!”

Slowly, Cameron and River laid their guns on the deck.

“That's better,” Wing said, “Now move away from the guns and step next to Inara.”

The girls complied, moving slowly. Cameron was taking her clues from River. They both wore slight smiles.

Standing next to Inara, Cameron reached behind her and quickly snapped the ropes holding Inara's hands.

“Put your hands where I can see them!” Wing ordered.

River and Cameron complied, placing their hands on top of their heads.

“Well, well, well. It seems Captain Reynolds has quite the stable of beautiful women on his ship. And twins, too,” Wing leered.

River grimaced inwardly as she saw what Wing had planned for her in his mind. As usual, Cameron stood motionless.

“Your men are dead,” Cameron stated. You will not escape.”

Wing smirked and moved his blade away from Zoë's neck, “I doubt that. What could two little girls like you do to me?”

Cameron and River shared a look, “You would be surprised,” they chorused.

Wing smirked, “I always wanted to try twins...”

“You wouldn't survive it,” Zoë snickered.

Wing whirled, “Bi-zuie, you pofu!”

When he turned back. River and Cameron had moved next to him. Before Wing could react, Cameron crushed the pistol in his hands and River used a quick hand strike to knock the sword from his hands.

Enraged, Wing struck out at the closest twin, striking her in the face. Cameron just smiled as Wing howled in pain from his now broken knuckles, “Hurts, doesn't it?”

River carefully examined Wing's sword and smiled, “Nice blade. Mine now.”

“Why you little... urk!” Wing was cut off as Cameron's hand flashed out and grabbed him around the throat, “Speak nicely to my sister.” Cameron squeezed slightly to emphasize her point.

Wing tried to break Cameron's grip but all he did was entice the cyborg to squeeze a little tighter.

By this time, Inara had freed herself and stood up, she glared at Wing, trying to decide how she wanted him to die.

“Umm, little help here?” Zoë asked.

River quickly removed Zoë's restraints, grateful, she smiled at River. Quickly, Zoë pulled up her pants and tried to hold what was left of her shirt together.

“What... what are... you... going... to do... to me?” Wing choked out.

“Good question,” Inara said, “What do you think, Zoë?”

“I think Cam should rip his arms off.”

“Easily accomplished,” Cameron replied, still smiling slightly.

“Messy,” River observed, “But effective.”

“True, Dear. And a bullet is too quick. This will take some consideration.”

“I have... money...” Wing gasped.

“And we will take it all, I assure you,” Inara said firmly.

“Need the... account codes...”

“Five, three, eight, six, one, five, one, one alpha two, zero,” River recited.

Wings eyes went wide.

“I read minds,” River grinned, and my sister isn't really my sister, she is a Cyborg.”

Wing's eyes locked with Cameron's and he gasped when they flashed blue.

“You're... one of them...”

Cameron tilted her head, “One of who?”

“A machine... metal...”

“What do you know about, machines?”

“Liou coe shway duh biao-tze huh hoe-tze fuh ur-tze,” River gasped.

Cameron, glanced at her, “Tell you later. I have it all,” River said.

Cameron turned her attention back to the man in her grip, “What are we doing with him?”

“Who of us is best with a sword?” Zoë asked.

“Inara and myself are fairly equally matched,” River replied.

“Too much risk for the satisfaction,” Inara replied, “Even though I'd love to shove it down his throat. River? See if there is any instant bandage in this ship's infirmary.”

“Why?” Zoë asked.

“I liked your suggestion but without the mess,” Inara snarled.

Grinning, River sprinted from the room. Wing turned pale, “You can't really...”

Cameron tilted her head and smiled, “I ripped the hatch off your ship... what do you think?”

Zoë grinned as Wing lost control of his bladder.

“What the gorram hell was that?” Jayne shuddered as a mournful scream echoed through the ship.

“Damed if I know. Hope it wasn't one o' ours.”

The door to the cell Jayne and the Captain were in slid open, outside, River grinned.

“It wasn't.”

“Bout' time, Moonbrain,” Jayne grumbled.

“Not dramatic rescuing the damsels too soon.”

“Not that I ain't grateful Albatross, but could you... you know...”

River nodded and pulled a small dagger out of her boot. In moments she had cut the ropes binding the Captain and Jayne.

“Inara, okay?”

“I'm fine, Mal,” Inara said as she stepped into the small cell. The Captain immediately pulled her into an embrace. Jayne tried not to snicker.

“What am I? Chopped protein?” Zoë said as she also entered the cell.

“Got you too, Zoë?” Jayne asked. Suddenly he saw what had happened to the First Mate's clothing, “That, hundan didn't...”

“Almost,” Zoë replied gravely.

“He dead?” Mal asked, fire in his eyes.

“Not yet. Cameron is discussing her displeasure with Atherton's actions.”

Jayne winced, “That the scream we heard?”

“Yep,” River grinned.

It only took twenty minutes for River and Cameron to hack into Atherton Wing's accounts. He truly was rich and with just a few keystrokes. All of Wing's wealth had been routed through three dummy accounts and into a fake account River had set up, months previous.

Never let a pissed off super genius, psychic near a computer terminal if you want to keep your money.

That done, rescuers and rescuees left Wing's ship, walking calmly away and blending into the crowds once they left the executive section of the port.

It was time to go home. Home to Serenity.

As the crew walked away, Atherton Wing bit back his agony and tried to figure out a way to diffuse the bomb placed less than two feet away from him. All he could do with shattered legs and arms, literally ripped from his body was watch the numbers count down and moan in pain. The liquid bandage applied to what was left of his shoulders, doing a spectacular job in keeping him from bleeding to death.

Ten minutes after Serenity broke atmo, the yacht known as 'The Swordsman,' exploded in a massive fireball as her fuel tanks were ruptured.

Remarkably, the ships reactor core wasn't damaged and had been safed before the explosion.

It was puzzling to the Alliance investigators. After the fire was extinguished, it took DNA samples of the few scattered remains to determine that Atherton Wing had perished along with his ships crew in the explosion.

Rumors began to circulate weeks later that Wing had tried to fake his death and had bungled the job. His entire fortune had gone mysteriously missing and despite the best Alliance forensic computer work, the money had simply disappeared.

Two weeks later, a certain Firefly landed on the dusty plains of Haven.

It had been two years since Serenity had landed on the moon. It was time for Reagan and Gabriel to pay their respects to those who had died, keeping their children safe.

The End

For now....

AN: Thus ends my first ever Firefly crossover fic. I am planing on a sequel but not right off. I dropped a few hints that there might be more Terminators around than just Cameron in the 'Verse. Also, I need to figure out what to do with Gabriel and Reagan. When I have it figured out, I'll start back up again on this particular interpretation of the Firefly 'Verse.

Well played and so ready for the next installment. Loved the ending of this. Nicely done!

Yep, Saw that comin'... I have to selfishly agree with hisbaobei, kind of glossed over some gratuitous gruesome payback violence... not a criticism, just an observation. (i.e. Allen's injuries after landing on Kelly.. whew!) But as always you deliver the best and I read and respond to nothing less.

Eagerly looking forward to more Cameron.

I hope you will focus on Cameron's dilemma of becoming increasingly human, increasingly attached to a family, knowing they will all die.

Great stuff! Inventive way of getting rid of Atherton, too. So the crew of Serenity are rich now? Can't see that lasting for long, but I also can't wait to see what else you pull out the proverbial hat for this particular version of the 'verse.

I like it, i think you've created a xover verse that has many plot points. One suggestion though, since there are hints to other machines, have the John Connor, Cathrine Weaver time jump, end up in the current story world, instead of where he did in "BTR". And also have that John Connor, be Cameron's John from the series, you know like the one that is Simon's and River's ancester, be another TSCC timeline's John, thus the one that arrives is Cameron's true John Connor, and she can have a mended soul, not with out some serious trouble in the tween time from John's arrival, and him and Cameron fully cementing there love. I dson't mind if you do, or don't use my idea, but if you do, mention me, please.

Gotta say, Briglad, that Atherton got off a tad bit too easily in the whole deal, regardless of the fact he got his limbs ripped off Wookie-style and left to die in an explosion. The...man (and it's a struggle to use that word when referring to Wing, honestly)...was going to rape Zoe, Inara and (if they weren't an assassin and a cybernetic killing machine) the "twins" of Cameron and River. Whole new level of Hell needed for someone like Atherton Wing...

Still...amazing work here and I can't wait to see how things progress from here, Briglad :D
