Quote:Rhosyn "Rose" Forrest is the daughter of Metropolis police officer Phil Forrest who died from the attack of a crime group named the 100. When Rose went to sleep, her Thorn personality would emerge and stalk the streets as a vigilante, attempting to bring the 100 to justice. She succeeds in this goal and the Thorn disappears from the superhero scene until members of the 100 escape and form the 1000. She has since worked with Superman and Booster Gold to try to put these criminals behind bars. For a brief period of time, she was under the control of Lord Satanus. Thorn has no actual superpowers, but she is highly athletic and retains a high degree of martial arts ability from when her father taught her. She is known to carry a pair of combat daggers, a barbed whip, and a bandolier of tiny, thorn-shaped weapons, some of which contain explosives, miniature smoke bombs, or blinding magnesium flares.

Quote:Originally posted by Cybersnark: That girl Mohinder met in the building --there's more to her than we've seen. The way she grabbed the gun and immediately sized up the situation is suspicious. Normal people aren't that cool under pressure. Also, that guy planting the bug --did anyone else get the impression he had higher-than-normal strength? Something about the way Mohinder went flying when they guy kicked him suggests that either Mohinder's deceptively lightweight or the guy was kicking him much harder than he seemed to.

Quote:Garbage Disposal Maker Sues NBC Over 'Heroes' Scene Company says its product cast 'in unsavory light' October 3, 2006 The company that makes In-Sink-Erator garbage disposers is suing NBC, claiming that an episode of the new show "Heroes" makes the product look bad. Appliance maker Emerson filed the lawsuit in a St. Louis federal court Monday, seeking to block rebroadcasts of the "Heroes" pilot. In the episode, a high-school cheerleader (Hayden Panettiere) who has the ability to withstand injury sticks her hand into an In-Sink-Erator while it's running, mangling her fingers (which return to normal within a few seconds). Emerson's suit claims the scene "casts the disposer in an unsavory light, irreparably tarnishing the product" by suggesting that serious injuries will result "in the event consumers were to accidentally insert their hand into one." The suit, however, is more about NBC's use of the In-Sink-Erator name than the content of the scene, the company says. "It's a trademark thing," spokesman Dan Callahan tells the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. NBC hasn't commented on the suit. Emerson is asking for a ruling barring future broadcasts of the pilot, which is available on NBC's website and has already aired on NBC Universal-owned cable networks USA and Sci Fi. It also seeks to block NBC from using any Emerson trademarks in the future.
