Went to see it recently with my son. It was good and funny, but wait for the video. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it a lot, but the story wasn't anything new. A fish-out-of-water tale about an FBI agent chasing drug dealers in Ireland.

It's really funny and entertaining. Good cast, solid acting and interesting characters.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Better than In Bruges, or not?

In Ireland huh? I guess I'll have to rent that one when it comes out on video.

Nah, In Bruges is still the shit. But The Guard is a close second. Actually, it's written and directed by Martin McDonagh's brother John. If you can go check it, if for nothing else than to see a master at work. Brendan Gleeson puts this movie in his hip pocket, with a wink and a smile. Don Cheadle, Mark Strong, Fionnula Flanagan, a very funny newcomer Rory Keenan and there's this one guy who plays the chief of police, but I can't remember his name - he's hilarious.

I wanted to see this, 'cause I like Gleeson (who doesn't?). Then I thought, This looks like
a one-note Samba. How many ways can they say, "Racist jokes have been suppressed too long!
Here, have all ya want!"?

Yeah. I think I'll see it.
