They have handed out Russian passports, cellphone numbers and set-top boxes for watching Russian television. They have replaced Ukrainian currency with the ruble, rerouted the internet through Russian servers and arrested hundreds who have resisted assimilation.

In ways big and small, the occupying authorities on territory seized by Moscow’s forces are using fear and indoctrination to compel Ukrainians to adopt a Russian way of life. “We are one people,” blue-white-and-red billboards say. “We are with Russia.”

Now comes the next act in President Vladimir V. Putin’s 21st-century version of a war of conquest: the grass-roots “referendum.”

Russia-appointed administrators in towns, villages and cities like Kherson in Ukraine’s south are setting the stage for a vote as early as September that the Kremlin will present as a popular desire in the region to become part of Russia. They are recruiting pro-Russia locals for new “election commissions” and promoting to Ukrainian civilians the putative benefits of joining their country; they are even reportedly printing the ballots already.

Any referendum would be totally illegitimate, Ukrainian and Western officials say, but it would carry ominous consequences. Analysts both in Moscow and Ukraine expect that it would serve as a prelude to Mr. Putin’s officially declaring the conquered area to be Russian territory, protected by Russian nuclear weapons — making future attempts by Kyiv to drive out Russian forces potentially much more costly.

Annexation would also represent Europe’s biggest territorial expansion by force since World War II, affecting an area several times larger than Crimea, the Ukrainian peninsula that Mr. Putin took over in 2014.

With Russia showing signs of benefitting from a volatile and chaotic energy trade since its invasion of Ukraine, some have wondered if Western sanctions on the country have backfired — but measures to choke Russia's economy have been working in an unexpected way, top economist Paul Krugman says, and history suggests the West that will come out on top in the economic struggle.

"Russia is having no problem selling stuff, but it's having a lot of trouble buying stuff," Krugman wrote in an op-ed for the New York Times on Tuesday, noting that although Western nations have fixated on capping Russian exports, limitations on Russian imports have been wreaking havoc on Moscow's economy.

It's a departure from the intent of the original plan, which aimed to curb Russia's war revenue through energy bans and a possible a price cap on Russia energy, which Western leaders are looking to propose by year-end.

But that hasn't gone according to plan, and data shows Russia pulled in $24 billion in energy exports the first three months of war alone, and has been limiting supply to Western nations to drive up energy prices, tipping economies in Europe close to a recession. Since the start of Ukraine's invasion, Brent crude is up 8% to $101.96 as of 8:40 am ET and natural gas is up 70% to $7.81.

But import side of the equation tells a different story. Bans on selling to Russia have lowered Russia's trade volume with sanctioning countries by 60% and non-sanctioning countries by 40%, Krugman pointed out.

That's led to a dramatic decrease in Russia's industrial production and relatedly, its GDP. According to the Peterson Economic Institute, production in the country has fallen as much as 50% for goods ranging from plastic to coal to household appliances.

"So economic sanctions against Russia appear to have been surprisingly effective, just not in the way everyone expected," Krugman said.

He added that historically, previous attempts at economic warfare have been unsuccessful, unless they involved a military effort, such as the US sinking Japanese merchant shipments in World War II, causing the Japanese economy to tank.

That provides some optimism as Russia continues to slash energy supplies from Europe — suggesting that despite the attempts at retaliation, the country will struggle to come out on top against the West.

But Krugman acknowledged the fight would be affected by factors like inflation and high recession risks, which currently have the West in a difficult position. The Federal Reserve issued a 75-point rate hike last week to combat inflation running at 41-year highs, and the European Central Bank issued an aggressive half-point hike a few weeks ago to combat sky high prices and weakening economic sentiment.

However, Europe in particular still faces even greater difficulties ahead as the continent braces for winter without the normal flow of Russian gas supplies.

Remember Trump's income tax evasion? The most he ever paid in the last 20 years was $750 that one time? 6ix says nobody cares. 6ix doesn't pay income tax so why should his hero pay? Signym said there is no law requiring Trump to prove he hasn't cheated on his income taxes. Until there is "proof" (a word Signym uses far too often) there is no "logical" (another word Signym uses too often) reason to condemn Trump for cheating. Using much the same thinking, neither 6ix nor Signym are concerned about Russians murdering Ukrainians and destroying Ukrainian real estate because there is no "proof" that Russians will go on to nuke the world if NATO interferes with the murdering done by Russians nor "proof" that "logically" Russians are committing war crimes. It is all hearsay and lies from biased mainstream media, which does not accept the "truth" that Russians are fighting Nazis wherever they are. Or as 6ix has said, the real enemy is NATO, which his heroic President Trump wanted to withdraw from, but he couldn't justify it, despite Putin wishing it could be done.

Signym and 6ix, are you detecting sarcasm? "Logically", you have no "proof". It is hearsay and lies from the M$M.

Putin's escape plan revealed if he loses the war in Ukraine, here's where he could seek asylum

A 'spy' from Moscow has revealed the plan of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who says that he and his friends are preparing to flee Russia if his army is defeated in Ukraine.

According to a channel on Telegram, this bombastic revelation comes from inside the Kremlin, from a source who also claims that the Russian President is suffering from numerous health problems.

With Moscow's Donbas offensive stalling, Ukraine preparing to retake occupied Kherson and seeing its economy crumble, the Russian dictator is "aware of the possibility of a sharp mood swing in the country, in the event of total failure .

Last week, the General SVR channel reported that the 69-year-old had suffered from 'severe nausea' during the night, with doctors allegedly staying at his bedside for around three hours.

Following that report, they claim that 'Putin himself and his entourage are preparing plans to evacuate Russia'.

Any plane carrying Putin and his family out of Russia is thought to be going to Syria, the closest friendly country and whose leader, Bashar al-Assad, Putin saved by intervening in the civil war in 2015.

However, any flight from Russia to Syria would have to pass through the airspace of Turkey, a NATO member state.

If Turkey's strongman leader, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, were to refuse permission for the plane of Putin and his family to enter his airspace, it would effectively disrupt the fastest and perhaps only route to escape of the Russian tyrant.

Erdogan and Putin have a complex relationship, having been friends and foes at various times over the past decade as each leader tries to navigate their country through a challenging geopolitical quarter.

Iran is another regional power and Western foe that would be interested in Putin's fate.
Translation from Albanian:
Quote:

"In principle, it is useful for Iran and Turkey to keep the Russian president in exile in reserve, using him, depending on the situation, as a lever or as a bargaining chip," the Telegram channel noted.

Although Turkey is a member of the Western military alliance, under the leadership of Erdogan, the country has cut its own diplomatic path in international relations. Earlier this month, Putin met with his Turkish and Iranian counterparts in Tehran, ostensibly to discuss Syria.

It is not too much of a stretch to imagine that Erdogan and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi privately discussed the possibility of Putin seeking asylum in the event of a coup or pro-revolutionary demonstrations in Moscow.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces were said yesterday to be gaining momentum near the occupied city of Kherson. Airstrikes have destroyed several bridges, leaving the remaining Russian troops trapped, and a counter-offensive to retake the only major city Russia managed to capture is expected in the coming weeks.

You have truly revealed that you don't care that Trump didn't pay his taxes. The IRS has revealed that $1 trillion in taxes aren't collected from the wealthy each year. That's Trump. Other rich people's tax returns are published, revealing that they paid $billions while Trump paid $750. Apparently, Trumptards are convinced by Trump's empty claims he paid. He could prove it with one phone call to his tax accountants, but Trump won't make the call.

SECOND, your bullshit is boring.

Many wealthy people do not pay taxes bc the IRS can't afford to scrutinize every wealthy person's extremely complex tax returns with all of their shell corporations and foundations and tax loopholes.

TRUMP IS A SPECIAL CASE. Bc of his highly visible political position, HIS tax returns get special attention. He is being audited by the IRS. At some point, they wi reach a determination.
If you believe that Trump will get special favors from the IRS.... well, that's the IRS' fault. Not Trump's.

ProPublica does not have Trump's income tax returns because Trump learned from infamous Roy Cohn, who never paid taxes and was Joe McCarthy's lawyer. McCarthy is infamous for McCarthyism. By the way, Signym, the IRS could put a thousand auditors on Trump's income tax returns but his income is whatever he says it is and the auditors won't be able to prove differently. In the case of real estate taxes, not income taxes, the government tells Trump what his taxes are and Trump is in no position to prove differently.

Back to Russia/Ukraine and The Upside of Putin’s Delusions
His failed and spectacularly counterproductive war seems unlikely to augur a new era of interstate war.

Some analysts now fear that the long decline of interstate war may be about to reverse. In an article for The Economist published shortly before the Russian invasion, the Israeli writer Yuval Noah Harari declared the decline in international war to be “the greatest political and moral achievement of modern civilization.” But he also worried that a war in Ukraine could bring about “a return to the law of the jungle.” In an essay published in May in Foreign Affairs, the political scientist Tanisha Fazal expressed concern that Putin’s war could result in “an increase in not only the incidence but also the brutality of war.”

But five months into the current phase of the war in Ukraine, it seems more likely that Putin’s venture will reinforce and revitalize the aversion to and disdain for international war. The key objective is not so much about winning as making sure that the country that started the war is far worse off than if it had not done so. That has already been substantially achieved.

In 2007, Jeff Bezos, then a multibillionaire and now the world’s richest man, did not pay a penny in federal income taxes. He achieved the feat again in 2011. In 2018, Tesla founder Elon Musk, the second-richest person in the world, also paid no federal income taxes.

Michael Bloomberg managed to do the same in recent years. Billionaire investor Carl Icahn did it twice. George Soros paid no federal income tax three years in a row.

Anger From Ukraine's Backers After Damning Amnesty Report Spotlights 'Human Shields'
Friday, Aug 05, 2022 - 02:45 AM

Amnesty International has in a surprise shift placed its human rights scrutiny on Ukraine in a fresh report released Thursday. It immediately sparked a firestorm of criticism as both Western pundits and Kiev officials themselves blasted the findings as "unfair".

The Amnesty report said investigators had "found evidence of Ukrainian forces launching strikes from within populated residential areas, as well as basing themselves in civilian buildings in 19 towns and villages" in three war-torn regions of the country from April through July.

I'm sure that CAPON and SECOND and THUGR will "forget" in two hours that this was ever an issue.

But what this portends is that the deep state (which Amnesty is linked to) is in theprocess of scraping off Ukraine. You will probably see the CIA and/or WH start to criticize Ukraine's/Zelenskiy's military strategy (even tho micromanaged by USA and UK neocons) and expose Ukrainian corruption.

Bc now that thing are going badly (for them) in Ukraine, they want to turn the spotlight to China. This, too, was predicted. Altho our happy-camper trio has "forgotten" that, too.

Pretty soon you'll be mouth-breathing RUSSIARUSSIA! in a vacuum, bc even our deep state nd "international partners" will be backing away from this clusterfuck.

All the rah-rah-ism in the world can't make up for lack of contingeny planning. It never occurred to our tank-brained neocons that their schemes might not work. And Taiwan is just another seat-of-the-pants effort. I wonder how THAT will turn out.

Michael Bloomberg managed to do the same in recent years. Billionaire investor Carl Icahn did it twice. George Soros paid no federal income tax three years in a row.

The deal is that Trump paid over two decades a total of only a few thousand dollars. In two recent years (2016, 2017) he only paid $750, but his entire tax returns for two decades are mysterious, only the total he paid in a few recent years. Bezos had low to no tax years, too, but he has paid $billions, and his entire tax returns, not just one number in one year, were available to ProPublic, while Trump, over the same years paid only $thousands and his tax forms remain invisible. Putin has the same setup as Trump, which is nice if you are a multi-billionaire paying only what an ordinary person would pay.

Now I finally understand what is going on with you, Signym. I read an article on taxes and, because I'm an engineer, I understand it the way an accountant or engineer understands it. Signym reads it and obviously misreads the article in a way that makes Trump look good. You do exactly the same with Russia, not reading or misreading simple and straight forward stories in way that makes Russia look good. Then you accuse the journalists of lying. I bet not knowing doesn't work as well as you think it does, Signym. But you will never know the difference, will you? You are Invincible! (As are many Russians about Ukraine.)

SECOND: The deal is that Trump paid over two decades a total of only a few thousand dollars. In two recent years (2016, 2017) he only paid $750, but his entire tax returns for two decades are mysterious ...

NOT TO THE IRS
Besides, if his tax returns for 20 years are "mysterious", how can you claim to know that he paid only "a few thousand"?
You CAN'T. Either you know, or you're just making shit up.

Quote:

... only the total he paid in a few recent years. Bezos had low to no tax years, too, but he has paid $billions

The article does NOT say that, it just doesn't. What it says about Bezos specifically is

Quote:

Consider Bezos’ 2007, one of the years he paid zero in federal income taxes. Amazon’s stock more than doubled. Bezos’ fortune leapt $3.8 billion, according to Forbes, whose wealth estimates are widely cited. How did a person enjoying that sort of wealth explosion end up paying no income tax?

Total [not income, total] Taxes Paid:
$973M (0.98% of wealth)

In that year, Bezos, who filed his taxes jointly with his then-wife, MacKenzie Scott, reported a paltry (for him) $46 million in income, largely from interest and dividend payments on outside investments. He was able to offset every penny he earned with losses from side investments and various deductions, like interest expenses on debts and the vague catchall category of “other expenses.”

In 2011, a year in which his wealth held roughly steady at $18 billion, Bezos filed a tax return reporting he lost money — his income that year was more than offset by investment losses. What’s more, because, according to the tax law, he made so little, [u[]he even claimed and received a $4,000 tax credit for his children.

His tax avoidance is even more striking if you examine 2006 to 2018, a period for which ProPublica has complete data. Bezos’ wealth increased by $127 billion, according to Forbes, but he reported a total of $6.5 billion in income. The $1.4 billion he paid in personal federal taxes is a massive number — yet it amounts to a 1.1% true tax rate on the rise in his fortune.

So, in one year he paid a billion in total taxes, and in other years he paid nothing.

Consider Warren Buffet
Quote:

No one among the 25 wealthiest avoided as much tax as Buffett, the grandfatherly centibillionaire. That’s perhaps surprising, given his public stance as an advocate of higher taxes for the rich. According to Forbes, his riches rose $24.3 billion between 2014 and 2018. Over those years, the data shows, Buffett reported paying $23.7 million in taxes.
$23.7M (0.10% of wealth)

Trump's wealth, by contrast, is small compared to the wealthiest of the wealthy: somewhere between 1/10 and 1/100 of these centibillionaires. Consequently, his tax liabilities would be less too.

Quote:

SECOND: while Trump, over the same years paid only $thousands and his tax forms remain invisible.
These wealthy people did NOT publish their own tax returns! ProPublica has acquired these data ILLEGALLY. If you're trying to turn this into a bitch that some centibillionaires' wealth has been made public ... well, it's not by Bezos' or Buffet's or Musk's choice.

Quote:

SECOND: Putin has the same setup as Trump
More unsubstantiated bullshit from SECOND. All fluff and hyperventilation, but no "there" there.

No, you "understand" it the way a twisted fuck understands it. You've taken the message of the article and tried to reverse it.
What?
Did you think no one would read it?

The problem is that there are too many LEGAL tax loopholes for the ultra-wealthy. And once you get into gray areas like shell companies, it gets even murkier.

Now. I don't know whether Trump "cheated" on his taxes or not. You've taken a snippet of info that simply makes Trump look like every other billionaire in many years. But then you go on to blow big giant accusations based on almost no information.

The whole system is rotten. AFA Trump is concerned, the IRS is sorting it out.

I'm sure I'm missing other things that I'm not paying for. I certainly haven't even added gasoline to this list, of which I hardly pay for at all either. That's okay... I already have enough to illustrate my point at $3,241 per month worth of bills I don't have.

Well... not MISSING them.

There's 251 working days in the US in a year (if you include holidays, which I will even though the only jobs I've had in the last 13 years didn't).

251 / 12 is roughly 20.92. We'll just call it 21 working days in a month.

$3,241 / 21 = $270.01

Yup. I'm going to make $270.01 today, tax free, simply by not being a wage slave.

Do the math yourself to figure out how much income that would be in a year and you'll get a number higher than I've ever made in a single year in my life, before taxes... And I can imagine most Americans can say the same thing, which is why we need two adults working in most households and they still rack up credit card debt to "pay" for everything.

I'm going to go wrap up the electric in my garage and clean it all up. I've got to have a spot to put the brand new shiny shed door that I bought with cash to sit until my friend's dad comes over to pay off some of the favors he owes me and we get it installed.

Have fun today at work to pay off all that shit you bought that you don't need for anything other than to impress your rich Democrat "friends", honey.

"Yup. I'm going to make $270.01 today, tax free, simply by not being a wage slave."

Hilarious. No, you're not going to make it. Go ahead, take that money that you "made" and buy something with it. Get some gas and tell the attendant the same story. "Look here buddy, I made $270 dollars today by not being a wage slave, so have some for the gas I just put in my car."

Here, let me make you even richer: think of all the money you "made" by not having a wife and kids. Not having to pay for college, no weddings, no clothes or food. No divorce proceedings (just in case), no vacations, no dining out, no bigger house, no second car, on and on. You add it all up and you might be the richest person in your county.

Oh. Somehow I missed this one. Pretty small brained of you, Cap'n.

I can go right ahead and spend that money I made not paying for wage slave bullshit, because I'm not a wage slave and I have plenty of money that isn't being spent on wage slave bullshit. Interest and high monthly bills for consumables I don't need for sure, but yeah... including the expenses that come with a wife and kids since you mention it.

I just bought me a years worth of cereal on sale for $56, shipped free to my home, so I didn't even have to use any of the gas in the tank. 480oz of it, to be exact. If I paid what the local grocery stores wanted me to pay for that exact same product in much smaller boxes, it would have cost me over $187 for the same amount. So yeah. That's another $131 I made this week by not doing that, plus the gas money I saved on not making a trip.

As far as my house, not only is it paid for, but it's been paid for so long now that had I been renting since I bought it I would have spent more on rent in that time than I did for the house and have absolutely nothing to show for it, not to mention that not a single dime was spent in that time paying interest on a mortgage either. In other words, every single month that passes now that I don't make a rent payment equals not only the average rent costs in my area plus whatever money I'd have to pay in income taxes to have that net money to pay the rent that I don't have to pay, but I'm not paying $5.00/gallon for gas to get to and from work and wasting an hour of my life every day in traffic either. I also have a whole lot of house and land that I wouldn't have if I were renting even a 2 bed/bath apartment.

Is that all of that saving money in the bank? Directly... of course not. But indirectly it is, because it's also NOT money OUT of the bank every month, and never was a single dime spent paying somebody else to borrow me the money.

Your pea brain can't wrap its head around this concept, because as a mindless consumer and life-long wage slave, you are and will always be paying interest on loans and playing catch-up for the rest of your life.

Time is money, and I've turned making money work for you into an art form. You're talking to the only person you know who will ever have lived a life with as much free time as I did.

How was work last week, honey? Do make sure you make the most out of tomorrow. It's so sad you have to go back on Monday.

:(

Me? It's going to be really hot again tomorrow. I'll be napping.

The first two pages of Zerohedge had NOTHING about Ukraine, and since they're a news aggregator that looks for click bait, that tells me there's no juicy headlines in the M$M, or anywhere else about Ukraine.

Maybe it's bc the front line is static right now: the Russians are consolidating their gains (de-mining, getting rid of unexploded ordnance, clearing tunnels, bunkers and trenches etc) and that Ukrainian offensive we've been hearing about since whenever (supposed to start tomorrow, rumor has it.) hasn't started yet.

Or maybe they're just trying to memory-hole the whole topic and replace it with "CHINA!CHINA!" ?

‘Absolute evil’: Inside the Russian prison camp where dozens of Ukrainians burned to death | August 6, 2022

The Observer reports:

Screams from soldiers being tortured, overflowing cells, inhuman conditions, a regime of intimidation and murder. Inedible gruel, no communication with the outside world, and days marked off with a home-made calendar written on a box of tea.

This, according to a prisoner who was there, is what conditions are like inside Olenivka, the notorious detention centre outside Donetsk where dozens of Ukrainian soldiers burned to death in a horrific episode late last month while in Russian captivity.

Anna Vorosheva – a 45-year-old Ukrainian entrepreneur – gave a harrowing account to the Observer of her time inside the jail. She spent 100 days in Olenivka after being detained in mid-March at a checkpoint run by the pro-Russian Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR) in eastern Ukraine.

She had been trying to deliver humanitarian supplies to Mariupol, her home city, which the Russian army had besieged. The separatists arrested her and drove her in a packed police van to the prison, where she was held until early July on charges of “terrorism”.

Now recovering in France, Vorosheva said she had no doubt Russia “cynically and deliberately” murdered Ukrainian prisoners of war. “We are talking about absolute evil,” she said.

The Biden administration announced another $1 billion in new military aid for Ukraine on Monday, pledging what will be the biggest yet delivery of rockets, ammunition and other arms straight from Department of Defense stocks for Ukrainian forces.

Aug 8 (Reuters) - The United States will provide an additional $4.5 billion to Ukraine's government, bringing its total budgetary support since Russia's February invasion to $8.5 billion, the U.S. Agency for International Development said on Monday.

The funding, coordinated with the U.S. Treasury Department through the World Bank, will go to the Ukraine government in tranches, beginning with a $3 billion disbursement in August, USAID, the Agency for International Development, said.

It follows previous transfers of $1.7 billion in July and $1.3 billion in June, USAID said. Washington has also provided billions of dollars in military support, and plans a new $1 billion weapons package shortly. read more

The U.S. funds are to help the Ukrainian government maintain essential functions, including social and financial assistance for the growing poor population, children with disabilities, and millions of internally displaced persons, as the war drags on.

Ukrainian officials estimate the country faces a $5 billion-a-month fiscal shortfall - or 2.5% of pre-war gross domestic product - due to the cost of the war and declining tax revenues. Economists say that will swell Ukraine's annual deficit to 25% of GDP, compared with 3.5% before the conflict.

The World Bank estimates that 55% of Ukrainians will be living in poverty by the end of 2023 as a result of the war and the large numbers of displaced persons, compared with 2.5% before the start of the war.

USAID said U.S. budget support has enabled the Ukrainian government to keep gas and electricity flowing to hospitals, schools and other critical infrastructure and deliver urgently needed humanitarian supplies to citizens.

The funds have also paid for healthcare workers, teachers and other civil servants.

USAID said robust safeguards had been put in place by the World Bank, along with USAID-funded, third-party watchdogs embedded within the Ukrainian government to make sure the funds are directed where they are meant to go.

"The United States remains committed to supporting Ukraine and its people in the wake of Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified war," USAID said in a statement.

The injection of fresh cash for Ukraine comes as the war, which Russia calls "a special military operation," stretches into a sixth month, with millions of Ukrainians displaced and authorities warning of likely gas shortages in winter.

USAID is an independent federal agency that receives overall foreign policy guidance from the Secretary of State.

What a dummy. You couldn't afford those things in the first place, so no, you don't have that money to spend now. "I saved a bundle not buying that Rolex with money I don't have." fck Math

I've got plenty of money in the bank. I could easily buy a brand new coal burning car with cash and have enough leftover for another one.

Or I could just not worry about cost of living expenses for another 15 years with it.

Wow! You saved a bundle on cereal. GOALS!

Yeah. Now do that with everything else that I need to live, all of my DIY tools and materials, and add the fact that I pay zero interest on anything, have zero credit card debt, have a paid for house with no mortgage, have a paid for car with an extremely small 6 month car insurance premium, I live in an area with extremely low property tax rates as well as a zero food sales tax and low sales tax otherwise, $20/mo for internet and all my entertainment needs, a VOIP phone that's paid for another 6 years, and no pricey per-month cell phone contract for that phone that does 90% of your thinking for you, and it all adds up to something. Something pretty big.

I get deals like this all the time on nearly everything I buy. It's because I have money to buy bulk sales when they occur, I have the free time in a day to seek the best deals out, I have plenty of space to warehouse it if the purchase needs to be large, and I'm a forward thinker that puts future needs ahead of immediate and pricey impulse buys. And that even includes working on my house. I've still got 12 unopened gallons of paint that I bought at a criminally low price last fall, a few door knobs and hinges for doors that I still haven't gotten around to painting, and about $1,000 more worth of pine baseboard and trim from a batch worth over $2,250 that I got for less than $200 when the line went on clearance in November of 2019. Which, incidentally, I paid for with a new credit card I'd opened that gave me $200 on my next statement as soon as I spent $1,500 in the first 90 days.... so not only was it free but I made money off of it.

Think about it. How many hours per year do you have to work for all of those things plus the crap you buy that you don't need after you've paid SS/Medicare, FED and State/Local Taxes, and you subtract how much you had to spend on gasoline for the trips back and forth after deducting all of those same taxes first?

How many hours per year do you work just to pay off interest payments and your mortgage? Have you ever even looked? Do you even want to know?

Probably not.

Sure... I'm not adding physical money to my stack by doing any of this, but it's all about implied value. All of those hours you just calculated to pay for all of that stuff above are hours every year that I just simply don't need to be working for somebody else. I'm already FAR ahead of you, and I haven't had to report to a boss in over 3 years now.

Sleeping as an art form. One: You don't get the quote, and Mr. "Time is Money" is sleeping in because it's too hot. I hope your pillow is comfy enough for you, princess.

Yes I do. Time is money. Money is also time. I've got plenty of both.

In fact, I just woke up from another nap right now. My third since I made that post.

And the pillow is comfy. Thanks for asking.

How was work today, honey?

Made enough money to pay all that interest off for the day did you?

My daily cost of living expenses are about $12.25 right now. Don't lie. You spent more that that on lunch today, didn't you, ya little wage-slave bitch?

Fuck yeah I did. I'm not a broke, lazy ass troll like you are.
Money in the bank? Making what, 1/4 of a percent interest? And you're bragging about that? Lying or stupid - or both.

That one meal is healthy food for at least 5 days for me.

I'm looking forward to all them full bellies with the rest of my $12.50. Is your stomach growling yet?

What's for dinner?

You're still not getting it, dummy.

Add up all of your interest payments all year, including your mortgage interest if you're not also doubly stupid and renting your place, in which case you can just go right ahead and include all 12 of your monthly rent payments instead of just mortgage interest.

Now divide that by 365.

How much is it? Can you even come close with a guess before adding it all up? Do you even really want to know the answer?

I could be making zero interest on my money in coffee cans buried out in the forest and my money is still making more than whatever piddly ass little amount you're filling in on your 1099-INT form every April is, after you've subtracted all the money you pissed away on interest for things that you don't actually own yet.

I'm quite certain that I can live an entire year for less than half of what you give rich people in interest payments each year to buy shit for you and own it for you until you pay it off because you couldn't afford to buy it with cash.

And since it's all money that I've already got anyway, I'm not constantly paying SS/Medicare, Federal and State/Local taxes on the money I'm using to snag great deals like you are on every single dime you're slaving away to make during what's left of the best years of your life because you NEED it to live.

Have fun at work tomorrow, wage-slave bitch.

If I'm not working on a project, I'll be napping.

Oooh. The truth is finally being leaked out about Ukraine...

CBS Censors Own Documentary After Ukraine Outraged
Monday, Aug 08, 2022 - 08:25 PM

CBS has censored its own documentary investigative reporting after an avalanche of pushback from supporters of Ukraine and its military. The segment highlighted that tons of weaponry shipped from the United States to the country's military has gone missing, and sounded the alarm as billions in dollars more have been pledged by the Biden administration.

"CBS partially retracted a documentary in which it said that shipments of weapons to Ukraine from the US had been going missing," Insider reports Monday. "CBS tweeted on Monday that it had removed a video promoting the documentary that included a months-old quote saying most aid was not making it to Ukraine's front lines."

Terrifying how swiftly and obediently the corporate media walks back facts that are undesirable for the regime. https://t.co/SqafRmOnr0
— Hans Mahncke (@HansMahncke) August 8, 2022

The segment, titled "Arming Ukraine" was published days ago, and follows on the heels of Pentagon and US intelligence officials issuing similar warnings that there are few mechanisms in place to legitimately track the arms flowing into the country. One admin official even described in April that, "we have fidelity for a short time, but when it enters the fog of war, we have almost zero. It [military aid] drops into a big black hole, and you have almost no sense of it at all after a short period of time."

The fresh CBS reporting added to these concerns, quoting the the head of a Lithuania-based organization supplying the Ukrainian military, Jonas Ohman. Below is the deleted tweet, with the offending line of "30% of it [US-supplied arms and munitions] reaches its final destination."

"All of this stuff goes across the border, and then something happens, kind of like 30% of it reaches its final destination."

Ohman stressed that actually getting the weapons to the designated Ukrainian army units involves having to navigate an array of "power lords, oligarchs [and] political players." This also as there have been persistent reports that some weapons end up on the black market, or might possibly be moved outside Ukraine.

Don’t worry, @CBSNews, I saved it. pic.twitter.com/jiJorgw18F
— Viva Frei (@thevivafrei) August 8, 2022

A senior crisis adviser with Amnesty International also told CBS in the documentary, "What is really worrying is that some countries that are sending weapons do not seem to think that it is their responsibility to put in place a very robust oversight mechanism."

Officials with the Ukrainian government promptly accused the mainstream US network of playing into "Russian propaganda".

OF COURSE!

Quote:

Along with a widespread social media backlash from Kiev's supporters and pundits, this was apparently enough for CBS to announce it is "updating" the segment, with some of the offending lines now dropped...

CBS claims this documentary is now "being updated" after it received a giant tsunami of trolling from those who were upset at the information being reported. The original link was taken down: pic.twitter.com/b04P5KlRC7
— Michael Tracey (@mtracey) August 8, 2022

The Ukrainian government further put out a dubious claim that "all received equipment is accounted for" - this despite months of Pentagon officials warning that this isn't the case.

Unsurprisingly, Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, has demanded that CBS News conduct an internal investigation to get to the bottom of things.

SO, let's get this straight: Ukraine is telling US what we can and can't report?

Quote:

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, demands from CBS News to conduct an internal investigation due to the publication of disinformation that only 30% of the weapons supplied to Ukraine by allies reach the front.

There's of late been growing scrutiny placed on the Ukrainian side, after Russia and Putin have long been the main focus of Western mainstream media reporting. It appears that efforts to "police" western MSM reports to deflect any possible criticism of Kiev whatsoever during the war is now ramping up.

Yeah. The NYT even dared to report on this... at least a little bit.

But by all means, give Ukraine $750 Billion for reparations, Joe* and Nancy. Then explain to all the black people who aren't voting for you anymore why they still haven't gotten the reparations you always promise them but never have any intention of paying them.

Oh, and please... Do make sure to have your Legacy Media lapdogs continue to call it "Reparations" to Ukraine too, yanno... just to rub the salt in the wounds from the 1000-cuts your broken promises have inflicted on every poor black person out there since the 60s.

You rich white Democrats are the least self-aware people that planet Earth has ever hosted.

You're Parasites.

In partnership with Reuters, the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) released a report on Monday detailing inspections of 27 Russian weapons systems and pieces of military equipment expended or lost since Russia invaded Ukraine, and the group said the majority of the apparent Western components were manufactured by U.S. companies.

“The preponderance of foreign-made components inside these systems reveals that Russia’s war machine is heavily reliant on imports of sophisticated microelectronics to operate effectively,” the group said in its report.

“This is despite persistent efforts by the Russian government to replace imports – in all aspects of its economy, including the military sector – with domestically produced materials in order to withstand international sanctions,” it continued.
