Company Backed by J.D. Vance Gives Platform for Russian Propaganda

An interview of captive Americans done “under duress” appears on the Rumble web platform backed by J.D. Vance and Peter Thiel. Vance, a Republican, is running for Senate in Ohio.

Oct. 31, 2022

Popular Rumble videos this year have headlines like “Biden’s Invasion at the Southern Border Is Next Step to Global Government” and “George Soros’ Shocking New Plans.”

RT’s livestream has received nearly five million views since Rumble began hosting it in March. On Sept. 10, an RT report on Rumble mocked “Kiev’s flawed counteroffensive” as “incredibly unsuccessful,” even as Ukraine was on the cusp of sweeping gains. A more recent RT piece interviewed Ukrainians sympathetic to Russia on the front lines, including one woman saying, “I’m sure the Russian troops will not leave us.” Typical headlines seek to project a sense of competence onto Mr. Putin’s beleaguered military (“Russian sea-based missile strikes hit all designated targets”) and recklessness onto Ukraine and its Western allies (“Ukraine hits Donetsk civilian areas with over 200 NATO-supplied shells”).

Brian Doherty, an outside spokesman for Rumble, said the company’s platform was open to those who “hold politically unpopular views, so long as they comply with our content policies,” adding, “We cannot fight aggressive authoritarians by surrendering a key principle that separates us from them.”

He also pointed to instances when users on Twitter and YouTube shared video clips of Mr. Huynh talking on RT about his capture. But Rumble provides an official outlet for RT, while both Twitter and YouTube’s parent, Google, have taken steps to curb its content — though YouTube has been more aggressive. The company removed an RT clip within hours of being asked about it by The Times. Ivy Choi, a YouTube spokeswoman, said, “YouTube channels associated with Russian state-funded news channels are blocked on our platform, globally.”

Anna Belkina, RT’s deputy editor in chief, said that the company “always follows the highest journalistic principles in its reporting,” and that “interviewing inmates seems to be quite standard for The New York Times.” She added, “We hope that you’ve provided ample evidence that the inmates weren’t coerced or tortured.”

Mr. Drueke is a 40-year-old Army veteran who was working as a delivery driver in Alabama when the war broke out. Mr. Huynh is a 27-year-old former Marine. Both are from Alabama and were inspired by news coverage to travel to Ukraine and join other foreigners fighting on the ground. They were captured after coming under fire during a reconnaissance mission, and held for 104 or 105 days — they are not sure of the precise number — mostly in Donetsk, a Russian-occupied region in eastern Ukraine. They were freed in September as part of a prisoner exchange.

“Those interviews were very much under duress,” Mr. Drueke said after The Times sent him a link to the video, which he had not previously seen. He said that his captors were watching off camera, “pantomiming, scribbling things on paper, stopping the interview so they can tell us to try again.”

“We were stored in a closet in between interviews,” he said. “They bring us in the room, sit us down in front of a light and camera, where it felt like just another interrogation,” adding, “We didn’t even know if it was media or an interrogation.”

Mr. Huynh, after watching the video, said: “We know it’s a lie from our experience. We know that they’re just straight up putting words in our mouths.”

Murder and Pain go together, Signym. Too hard a concept for you to understand, Signym? Do you need "proof" and "evidence" and hundreds of hours of "unbiased testimony under oath from certified experts" of a relationship between Murder and Pain before you would believe it is true? Or is it all Western Propaganda smearing Russia's glorious reputation as an enlightened land bringing truth and justice, not Murder and Pain, to the world, including to Ukraine?

Ukraine warns Iran missiles will be 'difficult' to shoot down (that is the Murder and Pain, Signym. I do hope Iran is not overcharging Russia for the missiles.)

Iran is reportedly preparing to send about 1,000 additional weapons, including short-range ballistic missiles and more attack drones, to Russia for its war against Ukraine.

CNN first reported the deal, citing officials from a Western country that closely monitors Iran’s weapons program. Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yurii Ihnat told Ukrainian media that the Kremlin is buying the Iskander ballistic missiles from Iran because Russia is running out of them.

“It is theoretically possible to shoot them down but very difficult with the means we have at our disposal," Ihnat said. "We have air defense, not missile defense.”

He said he believes the missiles will be placed on the northern border with Ukraine to fire at targets across Ukraine. Iran already has been supplying Russia with explosive drones that have heavily damaged infrastructure, although the Ukrainian military says it is seeing increasing success in shooting them down.

"Transferring missiles to RF, Iran knows that it will attack our cities. Teaching Russians to use drones, it knows that they will attack energy sector," Ukraine presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak tweeted. "Tehran is an accomplice of aggression in Europe and must be officially recognized as such."

First broadcast on Oct 25, 2022 -- “Putin’s Attack on Ukraine: Documenting War Crimes” draws on original footage; interviews with Ukrainian citizens and prosecutors, top government officials and international war crimes experts; and a vast amount of previously unpublished evidence obtained and verified by the AP — including hundreds of hours of surveillance camera videos and thousands of audio recordings of intercepted phone calls made by Russian soldiers around Ukraine's capital city, Kyiv.

The 90-minute documentary traces a pattern of atrocities committed by Russian troops in Ukraine, focusing on areas near Kyiv, such as Bucha, where some of the most shocking carnage was found.

Again, Russia threatens to nuke the world:

Medvedev says only Russian victory in Ukraine will prevent «global war» provoked by West

The former president of Russia and current vice president of the Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, has accused Western powers of pushing the world towards a "global war" that can only be avoided with a Russian victory in the conflict in Ukraine.

"Let's call a spade a spade. Western countries are pushing the world to a global war, and only Russia's complete and final victory is a guarantee against global conflict," Medvedev has asserted on his Telegram channel.

The former Russian president pointed out that the argument defended by the West that "Russia cannot be allowed to win the war" entails supporting Ukraine's theories about the full recovery of its territories, which would "threaten the existence" of Russia.

"The Kiev regime has mentioned Ukraine's goal in the war: the return of all the territories that previously belonged to them (...) This is a threat to the existence of our state and the collapse of today's Russia," he said.

According to Medvedev, these threats to Russia would be a justification to be able to apply Article 19 of the Fundamentals of the State Policy of the Russian Federation, which delves into Russia's nuclear capabilities as a deterrent to threats to its sovereignty.

Sure thing, 6ix, about your super successful life. And you didn't need to be a college graduate because those professors who think they are smarter than you didn't teach anything that you couldn't learn faster from the internet. (I knew youngsters who dropped out of high school while I stayed to graduate. They said school doesn't teach the practical things they will learn outside of school. Turned out they did NOT learn practical things that could make money. Oh, well. Things happen. Their plans changed.)

Then, it recently publicly revealed rescinding its "no first use" nuclear policy. Now it will consider using nukes for non-nuclear threats.

Then, it started openly considering placing nukes in Finland.

Now, it has stationed nuclear-capable B52 bombers in Australia, threatening China.

All of this says that our conventional military really is a "paper tiger" once our air superiority is eliminated, and that all we have to fall back on is our nuclear weapons. doubly so, since we seem intent on fighting (proxy, hybrid, hot) wars on two fronts.

Yanno, our neocons are idiots and they seem intent on destroying not only Europe but the EU, and -potentially- the entire world.

But I'm sure Bill Gates will come out fine, since he owns the big seed bank in Svarlbard, and lots of nice USA farmland.

Russian State TV Guest Admits Country 'Underestimated' U.S.

By Gerrard Kaonga On 11/1/22

A professor at Moscow State University has admitted that Russia underestimated U.S. resolve as he urged the Kremlin to set clearly defined goals for the war in Ukraine.

The comments by Andrey Sidorov, deputy dean of world politics at the university, have gone viral on social media. A video of Sidorov discussing the war on Russian state TV, posted on Monday by the Daily Beast's Julia Davis, has already been viewed more than 200,000 times.
https://twitter.com/JuliaDavisNews/status/1587140730602004482
"Meanwhile in Russia: Top Kremlin propagandists ponder what their victory would look like and express their gratitude to Trump and the coronavirus for allowing their economy to survive the sanctions and be able to handle Russia's invasion of Ukraine," Davis wrote as a caption to the video.

In the clip, Sidorov calls on Russia to set realistic war goals and makes clear that Russia taking on the United States should not be one of them. He admitted that Moscow had been taken by surprise by the West's unity in resisting Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

"What do we currently perceive as our victory? With respect to the special military operation, it's simple," he said, saying it would be the "liberation" of the four Ukrainian regions that President Vladimir Putin has annexed. "We've even exceeded the plan."

"We say that we are fighting against the West and NATO, so is our goal to take Brussels? We should clearly define our victory over the West."

"I don't think our victory means to take Washington," he said, adding that this would entail "destroying half the planet in the process."

"I think that our main goal is to conclude the special military operation," he said, using the Russian term for the Ukraine war.

He also suggested that Donald Trump's term as president, and even the COVID pandemic, had given Russia a breathing space to prepare its economy for the wave of sanctions it is facing now over the Ukraine war.

"Trump gave us four years, realistically, having shot down all sanctions, Trump had given us four years to get ready for what is happening right now."

"If it was Hillary Clinton, I am 100 per cent convinced everything would have started four years ago."

During his term in office, Trump often appeared reluctant to increase sanctions on Russia, though he did sign into law sanctions agreed by Congress.

Sidorov said Russia was doing a lot to improve its war effort and had concluded the draft of reservists, but he conceded "perhaps we underestimated the adversary."

"No one anticipated such a consolidation of the West and that Americans would be able to pull it off."

He went on to discuss the confidence Russia felt about the political turmoil in America around the 2020 election.

"[We said] 'Oh, they're about to fall apart. The reds vs the blues, 24 states against 26 states. Some governors are Republican, some are Democrats.

"First, we have to win within our country and then we can talk about defeating them.

"According to all indications, the U.S. is economically preparing to become the great arsenal of democracy," he said.

Sidorov also highlighted his concerns of Russia falling behind the U.S. and China in an arms race in the coming years as he emphasized the importance of economic growth.
(The Russian economy is smaller than the Canadian economy.
https://www.worlddata.info/country-comparison.php?country1=CAN&cou
ntry2=RUS
)

"In the foreseeable future, what the president has been saying for 10 years, what is coming in the years 2030-2035 is the conclusion of all rearmament programs, both the American and Chinese," he said.

"All rearmament programs have been sped up, [Chinese President] Xi Jinping said they'll have it all by 2027. Now the United States will speed it up too.

"The matter before us is very serious, we have to rebuild our economy very quickly."

Newsweek has contacted Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs for comment.

We haven't, tho. we specifically ruled that IN.

Everything you say that Russia is doing, WE'RE doing. Our conventional military has deteriorated over the years due to lobbyists, the Pentagon, and Congress looking at our military budget as a giant piggybank.

All we have left is nukes. BTW, it was TRUMP who was pushing for a revival of our conventional military and said we should spend more money on it. He said, correctly, that it had been allowed to deteriorate. I didn't believe him at the time. I thought he was blowing a big wet appeasing kiss to the MICC, but he was right.

Classic case of Whataboutism, Signym. There have been occasions where some Russian cog in the machine decided that he would not launch missiles against the USA. There is nobody with a conscience like that working for the Pentagon, which is why Hiroshima and Nagasaki were nuked. The Russians should keep clearly in mind that America is far more dangerous to Russia than Russia is to America. America is a killing machine, a Terminator. Russians should worry that if Russia pushes the start button on the Terminator, there is no stop button to shut it down.

I assume you are incapable of directly understanding the concept. I will try indirect. America is a million volt power line. Russians threaten to touch the power line, daring the power line to kill them. The power line won't change voltage and shut itself down just because the Russians threaten to shock the power line with their own 50 hertz 200 kV line in retaliation for killing a Russian who dares touch the American power line. The Russians have seen the Warning sign that says "Danger! 1,000,000 Volts!" If the Russians are waiting for somebody to stop them before they do something fatal, the Russians will wait forever. The Russians should pay attention to Warning signs from Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

In case you still don't understand, Signym: The United States conducted 1,054 atomic tests — costing more than $100 billion and taking an incalculable toll on humans and the environment.

-devastating-legacy-lingers-30-years-later

If America would do that to Americans and American land in order to be absolutely certain its nukes work as designed, think about what America would do to Russia, Signym.

Ukraine Civilians Wait In Long Lines For Fresh Water As Infrastructure Destroyed
Wednesday, Nov 02, 2022 - 02:45 AM

There is an old lesson of warfare that says "never believe your own propaganda."

After the initial Russian strikes against Ukraine's power grids and infrastructure the general narrative was that Russian cruise missiles and drones were ineffective, inaccurate and that the country's utilities would be back up and running in no time. The message was [reminiscent] of previous propaganda out of Ukraine [and the USA- SIGNY] which requires constant theatrics of impending victory. As long as they act as if they are winning, billions in NATO dollars will continue to flow.

Russian tactics were decidedly restrained in the early months of the conflict, with the Kremlin mostly avoiding precision attacks on vital resources, including power, water and internet. This is a departure from traditional military doctrine, which the US followed when it invaded Iraq and decimated vast segments of their grid utilities at the onset of the war.

The Russian pull-back to lines in the Donbas region was a clear indication that their strategy was about to change and that wider strikes were inevitable.

Now, Ukraine's grid amenities are being systematically destroyed, and it is reported that Ukrainians in major cities like Kyiv are lining up for blocks daily just to fill a few meager jugs with fresh water at city well pumps.

The lack of access to utilities changes the dynamics of the war drastically.

With winter looming, millions of civilians will face cold months without electric heat, light or easy access to water and food.

The predictable end result of this will likely be a flood of refugees into Europe.

I assume you are incapable of directly understanding the concept. I will try indirect. America is a million volt power line. You and ZeroHedge got this backward, too:

Not an "impending" victory. That would imply that the war is close to an end.

A "continuing" victory. It's the USA neocons' intention to keep this war going as long as possible. To the last Ukrainian, if necessary. They can't win, they know they can't win, they're hoping that "something" will happen in Russia or China... collapse, regime change, something.. that makes a military victory irrelevant.

Anyway, to reinterpret your posts... let's (generously) say that what you posted was a warning, not a threat.

Margarita Simonyan, the head of Russia Today (RT) and long-time Vladimir Putin ally, said on Sunday for Russians it is better to go fight in Ukraine and possibly die rather than live in a western-dominated world which she described as unbearable. Her arguments also invoked culture and biology.

‘One day I will be prohibited to put dresses on my daughters and to explain to my son that he is a boy. This is already happening in many countries. For me, it’s unbearable. For me, this is worse than war. Indeed, it’s worse than war.’

‘The world is at a dead end in terms of values, and the west is the cause and accelerating the demise towards the destruction of mankind, even without any kind of war.’

‘War has goals. Along with tragedies, pain and other understandable things, war has pride, the happiness of victory, and certain personal growth. There are changes in personality that lead to deeper self-awareness as a part of your nation, as a part of certain values and ideals.

‘What does that ultra-liberal fascist trash have, I don't know. It spreads as an uncontrollable tumor, against which the chemotherapy is ineffective. If you allow it anywhere near your borders, before you know it, you'll be living in a country that is dictating that you must live a certain way. With our mentality, to live this way is unbearable.’

Simonyan also praised Russian President Vladimir Putin by saying that the world is changing for the better under his influence.

Deconstructing Western Delusions on Ukraine and Russia

3 November 2022 by Larry Johnson 153 Comments

Do you remember trying to comprehend the emphatic denial by Iraq’s “Baghdad Bob” (i.e. Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf) in March 2003 that there were no U.S. troops nor tanks in Baghdad? Most of the cable news networks juxtaposed Bob’s claim with live film of tanks rolling through the streets. Looking foolish was the least of his problems. Made me wonder what would lead a man of education and experience to so fiercely embrace a lie. The world witnessed the same phenomenon with Adolf Hitler during his final days in his bunker beneath the rubble strewn streets of Berlin.

Then comes Ukraine and Russia’s “Special Military Operation” and the spirit of Baghdad Bob is being channeled through a host of politicians, pundits and erstwhile experts. The following is an example (I am declining to name the writer to minimize further embarrassment to him) of the Baghdad Bob delusion:

* Russia right now is under extreme stress and Russian leaders are tense and unhappy. The operation in Ukraine has not only ground to a halt, but Russia continues to suffer agonizing losses of men and material. It has had to make secret deals with Iran and North Korea to have enough ammunition and supplies to stay in the war. Its home industry is too tardy and underfunded to be able to keep up with demands for urgent production of war goods. It has run out of soldiers, drafting middle age and older men and yanking prisoners from confinement to serve on the two main fronts of the Ukraine conflict. None of this has seemed to work. Every day Russia makes more military blunders and Putin has just fired one of his top commanders, General Alexander Lapin. While Russian opinion polls (which may be fake) claim Putin is still popular, he is facing a grim future if the losses turn into a complete route and the Russians have to evacuate Ukraine. In fact, Russian commanders are now preparing to evacuate the important city of Kherson, claiming that it is of no importance (which is complete nonsense).*

The gentleman who wrote the preceding paragraph is well educated, well spoken and a veteran of the U.S. Department of Defense. I have known him for a short time and know that he is not a liar. What stuns me is that he genuinely believes this. Maybe we should call this “Flat Earth Syndrome?” It consists of embracing as fact assertions that are contradicted by actual evidence.

I want to deconstruct some of his claims.

*The operation in Ukraine has not only ground to a halt, but Russia continues to suffer agonizing losses of men and material.*

The objective reality is that Russia has stepped up its aerial campaign and has destroyed critical power and energy nodes throughout Ukraine. How does that translate into “ground to a halt?” It is true that neither the Russians nor the Ukrainians have been able to move very far or very fast on the ground during the last three weeks. But that is because the fields and dirt roads are mud pits. If you want to move overland in Ukraine you need to be on a paved road and, if you do that, you make yourself a prime target for artillery and air strikes. Despite the rain soaked ground, Russian forces have continued to advance in the Donetsk, albeit slowly.

What about the “agonizing losses of men and material?” Last I checked it is Ukraine, not Russia, that is begging for more cowbell from the United States and NATO. And Ukraine is so short of able bodied soldiers that the mobilization that started in March was extended to November 21. Not my opinion, that is the claim of a Ukrainian official in charge of “recruitment” made just last week (October 24):

*The Ukrainian army needs additional troops so all men under 60, who are liable for military service, should expect draft notices, head of the Kiev City Center for Recruitment and Social Support Yury Maximov said.

“There is a need for additional [troops]. We need to increase our potential,” he said in an interview with the TSN news agency. “Clearly, we must have enough defense troops. I believe that the mobilization campaign will continue,” Maximov added. . .

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine on February 24, 2022. The next day, the State Border Service announced a prohibition on Ukrainian men aged between 18 and 60 from leaving the country until martial law was over. In August, the Verkhovna Rada (parliament) once again extended martial law and a general mobilization campaign for 90 days, until November 21.
https://tass.com/world/1526665*

Russia, by contrast, has had one mobilization and just announced it had been completed. If you want to see how desperate the West is to control this narrative just do a google search with the terms “Ukraine” and “Mobilization.” The vast majority of the results are stories about Russian mobilization. You really have to dig deep to find the facts about Ukraine’s staggering losses.

What about this claim?

* Every day Russia makes more military blunders and Putin has just fired one of his top commanders, General Alexander Lapin. While Russian opinion polls (which may be fake) claim Putin is still popular, he is facing a grim future if the losses turn into a complete route and the Russians have to evacuate Ukraine.*

I have discussed in an earlier piece that the appointment of General Surovikin represented a shift in Russia’s approach to the Special Military Operation. Surovikin was named Supreme Allied Commander and given control of all Russian forces in Ukraine. Before he assumed that position the commanders in Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporhyzhia operated independently.

How is Ukraine supposed to force Russia to retreat without robust, effective combat air, guaranteed supplies of artillery shells and an ample tank force, not to mention healthy soldiers to operate these weapon systems? The answer is simple–they won’t and they can’t. The Ukrainian armed forces are degraded severely today compared to what they could put on the field of battle on February 24th. I challenge anyone to make the case that Ukraine is stronger, more capable today than they were eight months ago.

The foolish analysis I highlighted above is but a symptom of a sickness that has infected the West (and I am not talking about Covid). The descent of the West into the thicket of lies is not confined to indulging fantasies about the military situation Ukraine. The corrupted culture of the West also proselytizes that there are more than two genders, that men can be pregnant, and that windmills and solar panels are sufficient to power modern societies. Hell, we were told the Covid vaccine would keep people from getting Covid. I think the underlying cause for the delusional thinking that dominates Western economics, politics, medicine and popular culture is that the West has adopted a rigid, intolerant ideology that is reminiscent of the intellectual sclerosis rooted in Marxism that led to the death of the Soviet Union. The Russian people learned some hard truths in the aftermath of the collapse of the Soviet empire. I believe that the people of the United States and Europe are going to experience a similar rude awakening. And it won’t be pretty.

What do you think? Why are so many smart people embracing objectively false narratives?

Deconstructing Western Delusions on Ukraine and Russia

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Friday cast Russia's war in Ukraine as a sacred conflict with Satan, warning that Moscow could send all its enemies to the eternal fires of Gehenna.

Medvedev said Moscow was fighting "crazy Nazi drug addicts" in Ukraine backed by Westerners who he said had "saliva running down their chins from degeneracy".

In a message marking Russia's Day of National Unity, Medvedev said the task of the fatherland was to "stop the supreme ruler of Hell, whatever name he uses - Satan, Lucifer or Iblis". (According to the Quran, Iblis was thrown out of heaven.)

Medvedev, now deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council, said Russia had different weapons, including the ability to "send all our enemies to fiery Gehenna", using a Hebrew term often translated as Hell.

Satan's weapons, Medvedev said, were "intricate lies. And our weapon is the truth. That is why our cause is right. That is why victory will be ours! Happy Holidays!"

During WWII, the Republicans in Congress were indifferent to the Nazis bombing London for two years. Hitler had to declare war on the United States (and torpedo some US ships) before Republicans voters (and their Congressmen) would support a war to save the UK from the Nazis. Will Putin have to torpedo some US LNG tankers before you will support Ukraine, 6ix?

The 'Blitz' – from the German term Blitzkrieg ('lightning war') – was the sustained campaign of aerial bombing attacks on British towns and cities
https://www.iwm.org.uk/history/the-blitz-around-britain

Hitler, however, was dismissive of the military power of the United States, a view that was shared by Hermann Göring.

Quote:

Rickards: A Bodyguard Of Lies
Saturday, Nov 05, 2022 - 07:30 PM

Authored by James Rickards

The all-important midterm elections are just one week away. I’ve said a lot about them, and will have more to say about them in the days to come.

But today, I want to talk about something even more important: truth vs. official lies. More specifically, I want to talk about truth and propaganda.

It’s said that truth is the first casualty of war. And Churchill once said that in wartime, truth is so precious that it needs to be surrounded by a bodyguard of lies.

That’s why propaganda plays such a large role in modern warfare.

The fact is wars are conducted in part through lies and propaganda. For example, in the early days of World War I, the British cut the undersea communications cables that ran from Germany to the U.S.

The British wanted to control the flow of information and issue what we call today “misinformation.” And so they created inflammatory accounts of German atrocities to sway public opinion, like German soldiers skewering Belgian babies on bayonets.

While there will always be individual acts of atrocity in wartime, these reports were largely propaganda.

Here in the U.S. itself, President Wilson had special police forces who arrested anyone reporting negative news on the progress of the war. Sound familiar?

****
It’s like the social media companies today canceling or censoring anyone who reports that the vaccines don’t work or masks don’t work. The media call it “misinformation” (even though it’s scientifically valid) and move on.

The same is true with the war in Ukraine. The propaganda machine kicked into overdrive early on.

Bodyguard of Lies

The CIA and MI6 leaked a steady stream of anti-Russian lies to prop up morale. These lies were reprinted in warmonger media outlets like The Washington Post, The New York Times and NBC News.

That means it’s almost impossible for U.S. citizens to get the real story through mainstream media outlets. Still, there is some honest reporting going in if you know where to find it.

You just have to filter the sources and find those with good pipelines of information (including inside the government) who do not have a hidden agenda and are willing to speak the truth.

It’s not necessary to rely on Russian sources (the Russians are certainly not above propaganda, although they’re generally more truthful than the U.S. media, believe it or not). There are excellent analyses to be found among Swiss sources, German experts who are not in favor of the war and some on-the-ground reporting from the front lines on specialist websites.

Get Ready for the Russian Counteroffensive

Some of the best sources are found among retired U.S. military officers who are experts on warfare, still have good contacts inside the military and intelligence communities, and who consider the war in Ukraine to be highly detrimental to U.S. national security and the economy.

One top commentator who fits this description is Colonel (Ret.) Douglas Macgregor, who wrote a recent commentary about the war. Macgregor points out that Russia is preparing for a full-scale counterattack to roll-back recent Ukrainian gains near the Donbas and Kherson.

The Russians have been consolidating their positions: resupplying, mobilizing troops, and preparing for winter warfare at which they excel. It’s just a matter of waiting for the ground to freeze so trucks and armor can maneuver without getting bogged down.

The attack could come as early as November or December at the latest. Yet, that is not Macgregor’s main concern.
Is the 101st Airborne Division Being Used as Bait?

His fear is that the U.S. will double down in the face of this attack and deploy U.S. troops to the battle. The Pentagon recently deployed units of the 101st Airborne Division to Romania, just miles from its border with Ukraine.

Airborne forces are generally light infantry that lack the firepower of, say, armored units or mechanized infantry.

But if these forces did get directly involved in the fighting, heavier reinforcements would be on the way. From there, it could be a short step to nuclear war with Russia.

To some, that might sound unrealistic or even paranoid. They’ll say it’s just scare-mongering. But this is a legitimate possibility, and there’s a real chance of it happening. The fact is, we’ve been on the path of escalation with Russia since 2008 and the tempo of escalation has accelerated since the war began in February.

All experts on nuclear warfighting agree that if a nuclear war begins, it will be the result of escalation to the point that one side feels it is cornered and has no choice but to use nukes. That point is getting closer by the day.

Macgregor calls on Congress to stop the White House, but he’s not optimistic that’ll happen.
Nuclear War? It’s Not the End of the World

The possibility of nuclear war between the U.S. and Russia is a shocking development after thirty years, during which nuclear weapons and nuclear war between superpowers were almost forgotten.

What is as disconcerting is the fact that the discussion of nuclear war is casual, almost flippant, and carries none of the seriousness with which the topic was formerly addressed. It also carries no comprehension of the existential consequences and sheer horror that the use of nuclear weapons entails.

It’s almost as if the warmongers in and around the White House were playing a game of chicken without realizing the other driver had no intention of changing course.

Now the U.S. elites have started psychological operations (psyops) aimed at Putin with nuclear weapons as the bait. They claim that Putin has threatened to use tactical weapons in Ukraine and possibly other parts of Eastern and Central Europe.

That’s a lie; Putin never said that.

When asked, both Putin and Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev said that if attacked, Russia would defend itself by all means necessary, including the possible use of nuclear weapons. That’s not news. That has been Russian or Soviet policy since the early 1950s. It has also been U.S. policy since then. Neither side has ever renounced the first use of nuclear weapons.

Putin’s expected answer to a question posed has been turned into a threat he never made. This is U.S. and UK propaganda at its worst (and most dangerous). This lie about Putin’s intentions quickly morphed into another psyop about a “false flag” operation.

That’s when you stage an attack disguised to look like an attack by your enemy in order to justify your own “retaliation,” which you were planning all along. Recently, the narrative that Putin would use nukes or conduct a false flag operation morphed into a related narrative that Putin would use a “dirty bomb.”
He Said, He Said

In effect, Putin would detonate a dirty bomb and then blame the Ukrainians and Americans. A dirty bomb is not a nuclear weapon, but it does employ radioactive material wrapped around conventional explosives. When detonated, the radioactive material is dispersed and can poison or kill any people or livestock in the area.

Not to be outdone, the Russians countered by saying the U.S. or Ukraine would conduct the false flag by detonating a dirty bomb and then blaming the Russians as an excuse to escalate Western involvement in Ukraine.

At this point, we have both sides warning the other side will conduct a false flag with a dirty bomb in order to justify their own pre-planned escalation. If a dirty bomb does go off, each side will blame the other and the truth will be a casualty of war.

Meanwhile, a senior Russian foreign ministry official has warned that U.S. satellites, which have been providing critical targeting information to Ukraine’s armed forces, may be “legitimate” targets of Russian forces.

How would the U.S. respond if Russia starts taking out its satellites? We may soon find out.
Is Your Portfolio Ready for Nukes?

By the way, I’m not apologizing for Putin or defending his invasion of Ukraine. I’m just looking at the current situation and objectively analyzing where things could go next, based upon the facts.

And I’m not making a specific prediction; I’m just giving you a warning because the media doesn’t seem to want to.

It might seem like an inappropriate question given the potential for widespread death and destruction, but is your portfolio ready for nukes?

In a nuclear confrontation, stocks and bonds could become worthless as exchanges are closed around the world. At best, they will retain some value as illiquid private equity tokens.

The best assets in this catastrophic scenario are land, gold, silver, food, water, and heat for your home.

Nothing else will matter much.

This is what I understand is that status of the war:

Right now, the fields are muddy, making offensives by either side difficult to impossible. So the front line is static.

Ukraine is calling up 100,000 soldiers to replenish ranks, which implies they've lost 100,000. ATM they have roughly 300,000-350,000 troops in the field.

Russia has called up 300,000. At the moment, they have an estimated 100,000-150,000 in the field. When both reinforcements are completed troop strength will be at rough parity.

Right now Russia is busy evacuating civilians and removing artworks and such from Kherson city, while digging trenches and so forth. Every indication is that they're clearing the decks for an important battle near or in the western side if Kherson city, or possibly even preparing for a dirty bomb. The speculation that Russia was going to withdraw from Kherson city seems to be wishful thinking.

So this is a lull in the fighting in which both sides are rebuilding their forces.

In the long run, as long as Ukraine/USA/NATO keep fighting a traditional conventional war, they will most likely lose. That's bc those kinds of wars depend on military production. That's why the collective west tried to implode Russia economy.

It is possible for a lightly armed force to defeat a superior armed force .. after all, look at Vietnam and Afghanistan... but you need support from the population and terrain that you know how to take advantage of. I'm not sure that either one applies in Ukraine.

In any case, don't expect to see big sweeping movement on the front. Russian general says he plans to grind Kiev's army down: let them throw themselves into artillery range, not necessary to advance, just successfully defend.

IMHO.

What else did the Republicans do, besides let the Nazis bomb London until Hitler declared war on the US? The Republicans blamed President Roosevelt for Pearl Harbor! It is 2022, yet Republicans continue that same laughably stupid tactic from 1941. The bigger laugh is that Republican voters are stupid enough to believe it.

BLAME ROOSEVELT FOR PEARL HARBOR; House Republicans Say 'Real Story' of Disaster Is Held Up Because of Politics. House Republicans, focusing further political attention on the Pearl Harbor attack, today blamed President Roosevelt for the success of the Japanese raid and accused the Administration of withholding the "real story" for reasons of "political expediency."

You know what happens in two days? Nothing. So many elections have come and gone leaving 6ixStringJack's life going nowhere along with all the other angry poor white trash who are going nowhere and are furious that their "extra-specialness" is ignored while Ukraine gets all the attention. After the Ukraine war is over, you will still be ignored. Nobody will give you what you want. Not now. Not ever. Get used to it, Trumptards. Or, follow the example of Ukraine vs Russia, and go to war with somebody. Maybe you can violently force somebody to give you what you want or else kill them.

Russian priest who advised women to give birth more often so as not to be afraid to send children off to war is killed in Ukraine

At the end of October, Vasilyev participated in an episode of a talk show on a Russian Orthodox TV channel Spas, in which he, while answering a question on what women that do not want to send their children off to war should do, advised them to give birth to more children.

“God has permitted every lady to give birth to a lot of kids. If a lady, while fulfilling the commandment to ‘be fruitful and multiply’, gave up the artificial ways of terminating pregnancies <...> then obviously, she would have more than one kid. Which means she will not be as pained and terrified to say goodbye to her child, even if it’s a temporary goodbye,” he said back then.

-women-to-give-birth-more-often-as-not-to-be-afraid-to-send-children-off-to-war-killed-in-ukraine-en-news

The Russian Government's version tells a different story where the priest died because America killed him, not Ukraine, and most definitely not because the priest was a war-monger & war-tourist who visits every Russian war since Putin took over:

Russian priest killed by American missile
The cleric was reportedly killed by a projectile from a US-supplied HIMARS launcher

The Defense Department says it will support Ukraine for ‘as long as it takes.’

The Pentagon’s resolution to supplying Ukraine with weaponry and the new command are clear signals that the U.S. expects the threat from Russia to Ukraine and its neighbors to persist for years, officials said.

The Defense Department is setting up a new command to oversee how the United States and its allies train and equip the Ukrainian military, the Pentagon announced on Friday . . .

The latest announcement brings to $18.9 billion the amount in military assistance that the United States has committed to Ukraine since Russia invaded on Feb. 24. The funds comprise a combination of immediate shipments from stockpiles as well as contracts for weapons to be delivered over the next three years.

To stop Putin's insane plans for the world, $18.9 billion will be spent over a span of three years and that money goes to Americans. Meanwhile, estimates of how much money it would take to end world hunger range from $7 billion to $265 billion per year. Most of that money will not go to Americans. Why such a big range? Because experts disagree about how to end world hunger.

From 1940 through 1996, the USA spent nearly $5.5 trillion ($5,500 billion) on nuclear weapons and weapons-related programs, in constant 1996 dollars. That was only because of Russia. If you are not aware, Putin has repeatedly threatened to nuke the USA in the last week. Putin would have already done it for real if the $5,500 billion had not been spent to stop him. Compared to $5,500 billion, another $18.9 billion is a very small investment to continue stopping Putin's insane plans for the world.

I'm memeing on the Leftist brainwashed Twittiot retards that keep tweeting to Elon Musk that instead of buying Twitter for $44 Billion he could have ended world hunger with a ONE TIME PAYMENT of $6 Billion.

$18.6 is a VERY LOW number for what Biden* has actually sent to Ukraine in 2 years. All of it is wasted money.

Ukrainians killing Russians is the only thing stopping Putin from invading the world. The high world prices of oil and natural gas? That was all Putin's plan to make Russia rich by restricting the supply. Putin sells fewer BTUs of energy to the world but he makes more money, which he would have used to expand his army to take over the world. But for now, Putin can't expand so long as Ukrainians keep killing his army. Putin has told Russians over and over and over that they deserve to rule the world. That is the Putin plan the Ukrainians are, for the moment, interfering with.

Russia controlled Poland, East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania until the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991. Putin was stationed in East Germany until that collapse. He wants to take over those lands, again, plus all the other territory that the Soviet Union lost control over, including Ukraine, which is interfering with Putin's Grand Design. Every time Putin mentions his nukes and all the brand new designs for nuclear weapons he has built since 1999, Putin is telling you what his plans are for World Conquest. 6ix, you should pay attention. That $5,500 billion the US spent for nuclear weapons was intended to stop the Soviet Union from taking over the world. Good thing the money was spent, or else Putin would have already succeed in his Grand Design.
