The Ukrainian government is warning Western allies that it is anticipating increased Russian attacks on its energy infrastructure in the coming days and that Kyiv does not have enough replacement parts to bring heat and power back online if those occur, according to two congressional officials and one Western official briefed on U.S. intelligence.

Ukraine needs key components like generators, pipes and valves to repair its infrastructure. Kyiv is currently attempting to fix the damaged infrastructure, but they fear that continued attacks by Russia could make it nearly impossible to keep up, according to a senior U.S. official familiar with the Ukrainian government’s thinking.

The new warnings were relayed to lawmakers this week through classified intelligence reports . . .

There is a Netflix drama called 1899 that has a lesson for people who write over and over again "Nobody Cares." Nobody on a steamship sailing across the Atlantic cares about anything except their tiny personal problems, exactly like you, 6ix. A reviewer wrote: "This is an expertly-crafted puzzle which, from episode four on, goes to truly mind-bending places. It isn’t for the easily-bored or anyone partial to zoning out in front of the television. But for those who enjoy drama that challenges as much as it dazzles, 1899 is a date worth keeping." https://www.metacritic.com/tv/1899

Spoiler Alert for 1899:

Select to view spoiler:

In the last minutes of the final episode of 1899, one person wakes up to the dire situation for everyone on the ship. It is not a steamship they are on. It is not the year 1899. It is a Starship. If they keep on with the steady drumbeat of "Nobody Cares" then those "Don't Cares" are about to die unless they start caring and stop being cowards and layabouts dreaming they are on a cruise in the Atlantic.

A Dutch court on Thursday convicted three men and acquitted one for the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 over Ukraine in 2014, which killed all 298 people on board.

Russians Igor Girkin and Sergei Dubinsky and Ukrainian Leonid Kharchenko "are found guilty" of murder and intentionally causing an aircraft to crash, while Russian Oleg Pulatov was acquitted, head judge Hendrik Steenhuis said.

The three found guilty by the court were sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment and were ordered to pay 16 million euros compensation to the families of the victims.

When it's announced that America is at war with Putin, and it's a legal war that Congress approves, let me know.

Until then, Putin and Russia are the victims here and I fully support Russia against the proxy war that NATO is waging through Ukraine while using the Ukrainian people as cannon fodder.

Putin’s swan song: ‘Cri-Me-A River’

The Kremlin’s “special military operation” is now all about Putin’s survival and Russia's need to maintain possession of Crimea to remain viable as a conventional superpower.

Putin could be facing his end in Crimea in a dystopian version of Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake.” Zelensky, in winning and playing the good sorcerer, has turned Putin into a black swan — increasingly, there is no easy escape in Ukraine for the Russian leader. All that likely remains is Putin’s swan song: “Cri-me-a River.” Cue the stagehands at Perekop. Putin may be nearing his final exit.

Putin's Black Sea Crisis Deepens as He Only Has Seven Ships Left—Report

By Isabel van Brugen On 11/17/22 at 9:44 AM EST

Ukraine's Operational Command South, a formation of the Ukrainian Ground Forces that operates in the southern part of the country, said in a Facebook post on Thursday that "stormy weather" has reduced Putin's Black Sea fleet to just seven vessels.

"While the stormy weather is intensifying in the Black Sea, the enemy flotilla was reduced to seven vessels, including one submarine missile carrier," Operational Command South said in its daily assessment of the war. "Four Kalibr cruise missiles are on standby. But it is quite likely that more vessels will be deployed to striking positions."

Newsweek has been unable to independently verify the figures provided by Ukraine, but Russia's Black Sea Fleet has sustained major losses since the start of the war.

In April, Russia was served a huge blow when the fleet's flagship vessel, the Moskva, sank. At least four other vessels from Russia's Black Sea Fleet have been destroyed, while the latest flagship, Admiral Makarov, was attacked by Ukraine at the end of October.

Russia also blamed Ukraine for a separate strike last month on Sevastopol, a city in Crimea that hosts Russia's Black Sea Fleet.

Russia's defense ministry said nine Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, and seven "maritime drones," conducted a "terrorist attack" on the ships of the Black Sea Fleet and civilian ships that were on the outer and inner roadsteads of its base in Sevastopol.

Newsweek reached out to the defense ministries of Russia and Ukraine for comment.

Polish Politician Blasts Ukraine For Missile "Provocation"

Thursday, Nov 17, 2022 - 03:27 PM

Authored by Paul Joseph Watson via Summit News,

A Polish politician has blamed Ukraine for causing a “provocation” by falsely claiming its own missile that struck Przewodow had been fired by Russia.

Immediately after news broke of the incident, President Zelensky called on NATO to take action against Russia, accusing Moscow of firing the rocket.

However, within hours it became clear that the accident, which killed two people, was actually caused by a Ukrainian air defense missile.

That didn’t stop British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, NATO and other prominent officials blaming Russia for the incident anyway, despite it clearly being Kiev’s fault.

Now the former chairman of the city council of Lublin, the seat of the region where Przewodow is located, is calling for Poland to rethink its approach to the war in light of the incident.

Having up until now been a staunch supporter of Ukraine, Jaroslaw Pakula said the missile accident showed Warsaw needed to send a blunt message to Kiev rather than telling its own citizens “fairy tales.”

“Of course, this is a Ukrainian rocket. Of course, this is a provocation on the part of the Ukrainian authorities,” Pakula posted on his Facebook page.

“The rocket could not be fired 100km in the opposite direction by mistake,” he added, asserting that the incident was an attempt to scare the EU into sending more money to Ukraine.

Demanding that Warsaw should “no longer put up with this behavior” from Ukraine, Pakula remarked, “I urge you to rethink Poland’s position [regarding] this war in the event that the red line is crossed again!”

Despite all evidence indicating the missile was fired by Ukraine, Zelensky has doubled down, denying that Kiev was involved and asking for his country to be at the forefront of an investigation.

However, after President Joe Biden swiftly said the evidence for Russia’s involvement was minimal, CNN reported that Ukrainian military officials told their American and western allies that they were responsible for the blast.

Kiev had “attempted to intercept a Russian missile” at the same location and in the same time france as when the missile strike at the Polish village of Przewowdow occurred, according to the report.

The Associated Press also had to issue a retraction, noting that it had “erroneously” reported that “Russian missiles” had killed two people in Poland, and that this was based on a claim by one single anonymous senior US intelligence official.

*Thank you AP, for correcting a story that nearly launched WW3. Now maybe you can also name the "senior American intelligence official who spoke on condition of anonymity" and who may have had ulterior motives in bringing the world to the edge of nuclear war pic.twitter.com/xtruXlv6U3
— zerohedge (@zerohedge) November 16, 2022*

“Subsequent reporting showed that the missiles were Russian-made and most likely fired by Ukraine in defense against a Russian attack,” AP reported.

* If Alex Jones must pay $1.5 billion for being wrong, then how much do the “Russian missile attack of Poland triggered Article 5,” hoaxers owe?

Is Estonia lying about Russia? Estonia’s Defense Minister: ‘The border separating Russia from Estonia and other countries is the border of civilization’

Hanno Pevkur wants to see more international support for Kyiv, which is fighting for ‘the free world,’ despite the impact from the energy crisis

Q. Before this war, Estonia, which borders Russia and has a long history of relations, had warned several times about the threat from the Kremlin. Do you think these warnings were not heeded?

A. Many European leaders have said several times that they should have listened to Estonia earlier. But now is not the time to boast about that and there is no point in going back in time. We have a war to win together with Ukraine, as they are fighting not only for themselves, but for the free world and what the security structure in Europe will look like in the coming decades.

Q. With the Kremlin’s energy battle with the EU and as citizens begin to notice inflation hurting their pockets more and more, do you think that solidarity will falter?

A. It is our job to explain why we support and should continue to support Ukraine, because this is our war too, it is a war for a rules-based world. In Estonia inflation is around 20% and things are very difficult. My own gas bill has gone up 15-fold. We are all paying a price for what happened, a very high price, but that doesn’t mean we have to give in to Russia’s blackmail or stop supporting Ukraine. Especially Estonia, especially the eastern flank of NATO, because we are the main gateway of the Atlantic Alliance [to Russia].

Q. Estonia is one of the countries that is most vocal about supporting Ukraine. Are there great variations in support within the EU?

A. It is up to each country to decide how much it can provide and how, because some States do not have much military power to offer, but they do have other formulas, such as financial support. Estonia has supported Ukraine with approximately the equivalent of 30% of its annual defense budget, which is approximately 1% of our GDP. (1% of USA GDP is $230 billion annually, 30% of USA annual defense budget is $493 billion annually) So yes, we are leaders in supporting Ukraine, but we are still looking for new options. We are finalizing a military field hospital, the third, together with other partners, and we are looking for more. We are providing training to Ukrainian soldiers in different fields, some of them ‘special’ and which I cannot openly disclose, and additional training to combat cyber-attacks. We are all fighting for the free world.

Q. Now, with Moscow’s focus on the war in Ukraine, does Estonia feel that threat?

A. There is no immediate threat at Estonia’s border today. However, we all understand that we have to stay focused on closely monitoring what is going on behind our borders. We have raised our defense spending – for the next four years, our defense spending will be on average nearly 3% of our GDP. (USA spends 3.2% GDP on defense) This will be invested in raising our defense capabilities – over 50% of the additional funding will go towards capabilities, which is well above the 20% NATO requirement. We will be developing our long-range fire capabilties (HIMARS), mid-range air defence capabilities, marine missiles, anti-tank weaponry, and much more.

Dutch court convicts three of murder in MH17 jet downing over Ukraine

The conviction of the defendants — two former Russian security service officers and a Ukrainian national who commanded pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine’s eastern Donbas region — implicates the Russian government. Moscow has long denied responsibility for the destruction of the jetliner and refused to extradite the defendants or cooperate with investigators. A third Russian defendant was acquitted.

Russia’s war could reach a devastating climax in Crimea, threatening to expose just how low Vladimir Putin is willing to stoop.

“Ukraine will be liquidated,” are the words Putin’s celebrated primetime shill and alleged war criminal Vladimir Solovyov employs almost nightly on television to reawaken the spirit of Zemlyachka.

“Russia’s military mindset is always annihilation,” says a veteran Kremlin specialist who spent years in Moscow and remains attached to a Western intelligence agency. “What’s been remarkable since the fall of Kherson is we’ve never before heard Russian politicians and propagandists pushing a terror campaign at a level reminiscent of the Bolshevik Revolution. They are off the charts.”

None of this surprises 2022 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Oleksandra Matviichuk.

“Russians can tolerate their war criminals who win,” Matviichuk told The Daily Beast over a recent dinner in Paris. “Russians cannot tolerate their war criminals who lose.”

Matviichuk, director of Ukraine’s Center for Civil Liberties, says her organization has so far itemized more than 21,000 instances of Russian war crimes in Ukraine. The desecrations in Bucha, Izium, and Kherson are so grisly that she and other human-rights lawyers are now imploring UN member states to “develop a new definition of a war crime and a method to prosecute them,” she says.

What happens when a powerful actor systematically abuses freedom of information to spread disinformation? Uses freedom of speech in such a way as to subvert the very possibility of a debate? And does so not merely inside a country, as part of vicious election campaigns, but as part of a transnational military campaign? Since at least 2008, Kremlin military and intelligence thinkers have been talking about information not in the familiar terms of “persuasion,” “public diplomacy” or even “propaganda,” but in weaponized terms, as a tool to confuse, blackmail, demoralize, subvert and paralyze. – The Menace of Unreality : How the Kremlin weaponizes information, culture and money, by Peter Pomerantsev

There is always collateral damage in conflict, but Russia’s attacks on non-military critical and energy infrastructure are intentional. “This is not a new tactic for Russia,” said John Spencer, a retired Army officer and chair of urban warfare studies at the Madison Policy Forum. “If you think about what they did in Chechnya, and in Syria, to basically bring the civilian population to such despair that they’re willing to capitulate.”

Moscow’s targeting of infrastructure, which some have argued amounts to war crimes, is an effort to undermine Ukraine’s economy and deprive people of essential services — heat, water, electricity — as winter approaches. Russia is struggling against Ukraine’s counteroffensive in the east and south, and so Moscow is trying to extend the war and spread out that pain across Ukraine, not just in war zones. All of it will make Ukraine even more reliant on aid from the West, which is dealing with its own inflation and energy crises. “Russians are actually now acting very cruel, but also in a very well-thought-through way,” said Andriy Kobolyev, former chief executive officer of Ukraine’s largest national oil and gas company Naftogaz.

When you chopped off too much of that quote, you destroyed its meaning, 6ix. The full quote: Russia’s war could reach a devastating climax in Crimea, threatening to expose just how low Vladimir Putin is willing to stoop. “Ukraine will be liquidated,” are the words Putin’s celebrated primetime shill and alleged war criminal Vladimir Solovyov employs almost nightly on television to reawaken the spirit of Zemlyachka.“Russia’s military mindset is always annihilation,” says a veteran Kremlin specialist who spent years in Moscow and remains attached to a Western intelligence agency. “What’s been remarkable since the fall of Kherson is we’ve never before heard Russian politicians and propagandists pushing a terror campaign at a level reminiscent of the Bolshevik Revolution. They are off the charts.”

Vladimir Putin isn’t just losing in Ukraine — he’s set Russia’s economy back 40 years
by Vitaliy Katsenelson

Finally, this war has been a sad infomercial for Russian weapons. India used to import half of its weapons from Russia. Now, the U.S. and Europe will likely become the sole providers of weapons to India – another tailwind for defense contractors. After the war is over, Russia will be selling its weapons to rogue regimes such as Iran and North Korea, but the market for its weapons has shrunk considerably since February.

Do you really not understand when Russians talk on TV about "liquidating" Ukrainians? Do you not understand a terror campaign at the level of the Bolshevik Revolution? Rosalia Zemlyachka, aka The Demon, remains the darling of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a superstar at KGB headquarters, and the poster ghoul for what Russia is capable of doing: “We need pitiless, unceasing struggle against the snakes who are hiding in secret,” Rosalia Zemlyachka told the Sebastopol newspaper Vremya. “We must annihilate them, sweep them out with an iron broom, a sea of blood, everywhere.”

Witnessing Zemlyachka’s carnage first-hand, Russian opposition leader Sergei Melgunov said the lampposts of Crimea’s largest city are “richly garnished with wind-swayed corpses” of Ukrainians. In the nearby beach resort of Feodosia, Melgunov and other officials said they observed Zemlyachka commandeer the city’s wells as burial pits. When the shafts were clogged with tortured soldiers and Ukrainian civilians, Melgunov added, she strapped her victims to planks, either roasting them alive in furnaces or drowning them in barges in the Black Sea.

“It’s a pity to waste cartridges on them,” Zemlyachka said. The Kremlin’s chief executioner in Crimea was not modest about having slaughtered some 70,000 of her neighbors in Ukraine.

The book explains why so many Ukrainians in 2022 get killed when imprisoned by Russians:
Quote:

In December 1938 the GULAG population passed the million mark, and there were nearly as many in the prisons and other labor colonies. In 1938 mortality in the GULAG — overcrowded, chaotic, run by inexperienced and frightened administrators — soared to 90,000 or 10 percent of the inmates. Even so, the camps could not keep up with the mass arrests; those detained in grotesquely overcrowded prisons often died of typhus, dysentery, heat, malnutrition, or torture before they could be executed.

Stalin and Ezhov, therefore, decided that the percentage of “enemies” sentenced to death rather than forced labor must rise from 0.5 to 47 percent. In 1937 and 1938 the NKVD’s own records show that 1,444,923 persons were “convicted” of counterrevolutionary crimes, and of these 681,692 were shot. The flow to the camps was halved, but processing so many prisoners — who had to be beaten into incriminating others and thus provide further fodder for the NKVD — was still unmanageable. The NKVD ran out of paper to record sentences and executions.

Russian Authorities in Crimea to Strengthen Defenses Amid Ukrainian Gains

Russian authorities in annexed Crimea are fortifying the peninsula's defensive positions, its governor said Friday in a signal of Moscow’s growing concerns over Ukrainian forces’ push to reclaim captured territories in the south.

“Fortification works aimed at guaranteeing Crimeans’ security are being conducted under my supervision,” said Crimea's Russian Governor Sergei Aksyonov.  Aksyonov sought to reassure Crimeans that existing measures are “enough” to protect them from a potential Ukrainian assault.

Britain’s Defense Ministry said Russian units have built new trenches near the Crimean border and other sections in eastern Ukraine. “Some of these locations are up to 60 kilometers behind the current front line, suggesting that Russian planners are making preparations in case of further major Ukrainian breakthroughs,” it said in Friday’s assessment.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley played down the likelihood of Crimea’s return and a wider Ukrainian military victory in the short term this week. But he acknowledged that a “political solution” could lead to Russia’s withdrawal from occupied territories, including Crimea.

I can't otherwise explain why he would get so strongly behind it.

What stake does any American have in this and why would they condone all of the money going overseas instead of staying right here unless they've bought wholly into Pascal's Wager?

The answer is NONE.

Just as Second was terrified of Covid, he's 100% certain that the only thing keeping us from Nuclear Armageddon is the cannon fodder called the Ukranian People that are being sent to die by NATO and the US.

Second is a static character. He will never change. He will never ask questions. He's hardly human anymore. He's just part of The Message now.

The history scholars who wrote the books would not ruin their own reputations by lying about the Russians, but the reputation of Russians would be ruined unless the Russians lie about what Russians did. Therefore, Russians lie constantly to protect themselves, but that doesn't convince Ukrainians that the Russians are right and history is wrong. One example for Signym:

2) Howard Zinn: A People's History of the United States (2016)

Plot summary

With the tremendous success of his book, A People's History of the United States, Howard Zinn radically changed the way Americans see themselves. His friend Noam Chomsky says that Zinn literally transformed a generation's conscience. Zinn talks about those who have no voice in the official History: Slaves, Indians, deserters, textile workers, and union men. On two occasions in Paris and Boston, we were lucky enough to meet and film him. Towards the end of his life, Howard Zinn said, "I want to be remembered as someone who enabled people to experience hope and power something they never did before." That is exactly the reason why we want to make this film.

Macgregor has an inglorious history.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_Macgregor

A sample: In 2014, after Russia annexed Crimea and was engaged in a conflict with Ukraine over its eastern parts, Macgregor appeared on Russian state-owned network RT where he called for the annexation of the Donbas and said residents of the region "are in fact Russians, not Ukrainians, and at the same time, you have Ukrainians in the west and in the north, who are not Russians."

After Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Macgregor appeared on three Fox News programs to speak in support of Russia's actions. Russian state television broadcast excerpts of Macgregor's appearances, which included a characterization of Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy as a "puppet," that Russian forces had been "too gentle" in the early days of the invasion and that Russian president Vladimir Putin was being "demonized" by the United States and NATO. Macgregor said he believed Russia should be allowed to seize whatever parts of Ukraine it wanted.

Here is someone with a history of accomplishment, unlike Macgregor:

Russian chess legend says war in Ukraine is a 'battle between freedom and tyranny' by Alexander Nazaryan

NEW YORK — Chess is a cerebral game, but legendary Soviet grandmaster Garry Kasparov could make it seem like a contact sport. When he was at the height of his powers in the mid-1980s, he approached the chessboard with the buzzing physical intensity of a wrestler consigned to the wrong contest.

Today, his relentless energies are directed entirely against Russian President Vladimir Putin, whom Kasparov approaches with the same singular focus he once reserved for his Soviet nemesis, Anatoly Karpov — who, as it happens, now serves as a pro-Putin parliamentarian. But if the Kremlin autocrat disgusts him, nothing enrages Kasparov like Western hand-wringing over how much to help Ukraine, and for how long.

“Putin is attacking not just Ukraine. He is attacking the entire system of international cooperation,” Kasparov told Yahoo News in a recent interview. “Ukraine is on the frontline of this battle between freedom and tyranny.”

Last week’s congressional elections in the U.S. could complicate Ukrainian aid, especially if Republican skepticism hardens into outright resistance. Speaking at a press conference last week, President Biden expressed hope that aid to Ukraine would continue — but also bristled at charges that he’d given Ukraine too much.

“We’ve not given Ukraine a blank check,” the president told reporters, alluding to a complaint about the extent of Ukraine-focused spending made by Rep. Kevin McCarthy, who will assume the role of House speaker in January. “There’s a lot of things that Ukraine wants that we didn’t do.”

That is precisely the kind of talk that frustrates Kasparov. He praises Biden’s support of the Ukrainian effort, which has been consistently supplemented by European allies, but can’t imagine its scope being scaled back. “It was much less than Ukraine needed and wanted, but much more than Putin expected.”

The war in Ukraine is closer to poker than chess, a contest of stare-downs and bluffs. On the chessboard, an opponent has nowhere to hide his pieces, but poker is by its nature a game of incomplete information, of trying to guess and then being forced to act on those guesses.

Is one of the cards Putin is holding a nuclear strike? How long can an energy-starved Europe last before folding? How long will American aid last?

Kasparov does not ignore those very real considerations, but he also refuses to become paralyzed by the infinite varieties of geopolitical speculation. For him, the war retains an unignorable moral clarity. “I believe Ukraine can and will win,” he says. “I think it’s inevitable. It’s a matter of the cost. And every day of delay, of giving Ukraine what it needs to win, simply is pushing this cost up.”

Utterly unpalatable to Kasparov is the argument that Ukraine should sue for peace, not because the war is going badly for Kyiv but because it is expensive for Washington, London and Berlin.

That was the widely understood subtext of a letter sent on Oct. 24 by House progressives to Biden, urging him to “pursue every diplomatic avenue” while pointing out — not incorrectly — that the war is “fueling inflation and high oil prices for Americans in recent months.” A furor followed, and a day later the letter was recalled, but not without the Russians having noticed growing American reluctance to fund the Ukrainian resistance.

Kasparov finds such talk exceptionally dangerous. He thinks of the conflict in the Manichaean world of chess, where there is only black and white, defeat or victory. Either the West defeats Putin, or Putin defeats the West. “If we capitulate today in light of Putin’s nuclear blackmail, who’s to say that he won’t use the same exact blackmail five years later, six years later?” Kasparov wonders, his tone and expression suggesting this is far from an idle musing.

“And who’s to say,” he continues, “that other dictators around the world won’t look at this and say, 'Oh, look at that. The West is willing to capitulate to nuclear blackmail? Why don’t we do the same thing?' And for countries that don’t have nuclear weapons today? Why shouldn’t they have nuclear weapons if nuclear weapons are effective, and helping them get what they want?”

That dark scenario is most likely to be realized in Taiwan, with an emboldened Xi Jinping looking to fully and finally assert China’s control over the island.

We've heard all the lies already, sweetcheeks.

Of course they would! How else would mainstream historians get grants and get popular? They lie about the USA all the time!

Have you ever read "A People's History of the United States?" by Zinn? I guarantee it's not like any history you've read, but it's all true.

More bullshit.
My god, your brain is a mess, isn't it? Fact, fiction, lies, current events, real history, fake history... it's all just a big stew in there, isn't it?

Ukraine Rejects Alleged Offer Of "Short Truce" By Russia
Saturday, Nov 19, 2022 - 02:00 PM

It was revealed Friday by the Ukrainian side that the Kremlin has offered Kiev the possibility of reaching an agreement to implement a "short truce". It comes as there are more and more signals from Washington that it's ready to see both sides come to the table for some kind of ceasefire agreement.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Friday that Russian officials had attempted the overture, but he rejected the possibility, at a moment the Ukrainian counteroffensive has made recent gains, especially the retaking of Kherson city and many surrounding villages.

"Russia is now looking for a short truce, a respite to regain strength. Someone may call this the war's end, but such a respite will only worsen the situation," the Ukrainian leader said in a virtual address before the Halifax International Security Forum.

Zelensky then reiterated his hardened resolve to not consider the possibility of talks until Russian forces are defeated. "A truly real, long-lasting and honest peace can only be the result of the complete demolition of Russian aggression," Zelensky said.

OMFG, Zelenskiy is a coke head nutcase.

It seems since "Z" rejected negotiations, Russia has gone back to bombing the snot out of western Ukraine. With those missiles they "ran out of".

Zelenisky is a crack head child rapist that partied with Hunter Biden and gave him a $60k per month gig after Obama and Biden overthrew the Ukranian government in 2014 and gave the job of "President" to Zelensky.

He's one of the few people running countries in the world who are less legitimate than Joe Biden* is.

Signym, besides Colonel Douglas MacGregor, there is Scott Ritter for you to quote and post youtube videos.

For example: Don’t believe the hype. Ukraine can’t win this war by Scott Ritter.
https://therealnews.com/scott-ritter-dont-believe-the-hype-ukraine-can
t-win-this-war

Ritter argues that Ukraine’s objectives in this war are unachievable, whereas Russia’s can be met through a negotiated settlement. While the war rages on and attempts to sanction Russia continue to backfire, more damage is being done to the people of Europe and Ukraine than to Russia. Ultimately, what must come out of this conflict is an admission from Europe that NATO is an anachronism and a new security paradigm is needed to promote international peace and cooperation. This interview was recorded Nov. 4, 2022.

Signym, if you read the whole interview, Scott Ritter sounds very persuasive. I thought I should check into who this guy is. He was convicted of sex crimes. In October 2011, he received a sentence of 1½ to 5½ years in prison. He was sent to Laurel Highlands state prison in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, in March 2012 and paroled in September 2014.

What else? Ritter rejects the Western media's coverage of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Scott Ritter writes various NATO-critical articles for the Russian channel RT (formerly Russia Today).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Ritter#Russian_invasion_of_Ukraine

Signym, Scott Ritter thinks the same as you. You should start quoting him.

Ritter thinks he was wrongly imprisoned: "Ritter contends the PCRA court abused its discretion when it failed to consider newly discovered evidence that would have precluded the Commonwealth from presenting evidence of Ritter's prior arrests for similar crimes in New York state."

How Russia depicts its fight in Ukraine

These men are actors. Their bullets are blanks. But in propaganda warfare, they are true warriors and in Russia, there is no doubt they are winning.

See how the Kremlin depicts its fight in Ukraine and you will understand why no amount of battlefield setbacks will dramatically alter the way people perceive the "special military operation".

“This is what we saw with our own eyes. This is what we went through, what my friends and comrades went through. This is pure truth.” (Translated into English: None of this happened. It is all fake. You are suckers to believe us.)

“Today we heard the words of Saint Alexander Nevsky: 'Whoever has truth on their side, God is with them.' God is with us. This is a great fight that we must endure with the help of God.“

The loss of Kherson is spun as unfortunate but necessary, sold as a chance to regroup to a people used to groupthink.

Former astronaut Scott Kelly spent 340 days on the International Space Station with NASA as part of a program run in collaboration with Russia's space agency Roscosmos.

But the former astronaut added "Russia troll" to his space voyaging resume after Putin sent troops into Ukraine, battling on Twitter with former Roscosmos chief Dmitry Rogozin. Kelly joked that McDonald's was hiring when Rogozin was fired by Putin in July.

In a call with Volodymyr Zelensky, Kelly said Ukraine's president told him he had "trolled Russian propagandists into oblivion."

But he also directed his anger at Russians more generally who endorse a message that Russia is defending itself from Ukrainian "Nazis".

"Some Russians that I know feel like I do about this. Like, this is immoral. This is illegal. This is horrific. They have guilt over it, because it's their country doing it," Kelly told Insider.

But he said others, including a former Russian colleague on the space station, believed Russia was only defending itself.

"How you can come to that conclusion when your army invaded another country is beyond my comprehension, and is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. But these are people that I thought were smart. I thought they were empathetic, but they actually seem to believe this."

"And the only conclusion I can come to is that they've just been conditioned. And brainwashed over decades through their state-controlled media to believe certain things."

Could Ukraine Retake Crimea? Dug-in Russian forces mean a long and difficult effort.

by Patrick Tucker, Caitlin M. Kenney and Elizabeth Howe | November 17, 2022

Ben Hodges, a retired lieutenant general who commanded of U.S. Army Europe, said he had recently met with members of the Ukrainian military’s general staff and came away greatly impressed by their plans for a methodical approach to retaking Crimea.

“This will be terrible for [the Russians]. And it's wide open steppes and crappy weather and even relatively easy for the Ukrainians to hit them—but more importantly, to hit the logistics that are in that area,” Hodges said.

He said Ukraine would likely make further attempts to destroy the Russian bridge over the Kerch Strait, which was partially destroyed in October. They’ll also be able to attack Russian resupply lines along the southern portion of the country. He said that the Ukrainians would be in position to make those attempts in January and, perhaps, to liberate Crimea by the summer.

“I'm optimistic. I mean, think of Crimea almost as a trap” for Russia, he said.

But Hodges cautioned that Ukraine’s chances for success would be improved by longer-range missiles such as ATACMS, which can hit targets out to 300 kilometers.

“I mean, they could get Sevastopol from Odesa,” he said, and start “immediately if they had that capability.”

Despite many reassuring statements in support of Ukraine, U.S. officials have signaled no interest in giving Ukraine weapons of that range.

Ukrainian nuclear power plant Zaporizhzhia may be world’s most dangerous place now | 60 Minutes

More than a dozen explosions rattled Europe's largest nuclear power plant over the weekend, as renewed shelling around the Ukrainian facility rekindled fears of a possible accident — or even a deliberate strike — that could cause a catastrophic release of radiation.

The angle and direction from which the shells came indicated they were fired from Russian military positions, not Ukrainian forces on the other side of the nearby front lines. The worker, who CBS News cannot identify due to the threat that he and his colleagues have worked under since Russia seized the plant early in its war on Ukraine, said he believed Russian forces had also detonated an explosive inside the facility.

The occupiers mined almost every office in the building of the Security Service of Ukraine in #Kherson.

An ML7 mine was found under a printer in one of the offices.

The Operational Command "South" noted that many of the finds "refer to non-removable devices." (Those "non-removable devices" are booby-traps that will be detonated where found, which will destroy that part of the building.)

NY Times Takes Rare Look At Apparent Ukrainian War Crimes

Monday, Nov 21, 2022 - 06:20 PM

The New York Times has in an extremely rare moment (or perhaps more like unprecedented) conducted an in-depth visual investigation of a likely war crime against surrendered Russian troops conducted by Ukrainian forces. Multiple videos from different angles, including drone footage, emerged last week showing the incredibly disturbing scenes as Ukrainian forces were recapturing the village of Makiivka in the Luhansk region.

The videos show ten apparently unarmed Russian soldiers lying facedown on the ground, who early on are seen moving and in a position of surrender as at least four Ukrainian troops stand nearby outside of a house in a farmyard.

By the end of the footage, eleven Russians had been shot dead at close range, in what Russia says was a summary execution of people who at that point (based on their surrender) effectively become non-combatants based on accepted international laws of war.
Via AP: Investigators in Makiivka, where the shooting in the video allegedly took place.

Surprisingly, the videos were initially made public by Ukrainian news sources and soldiers themselves, and were shared widely on social media, as they purportedly showed the 'heroism' of Ukrainian soldiers as they clawed back territory in eastern Ukraine.
...

*One soldier, with his rifle drawn, tentatively approaches the structure where the Russian soldiers are sheltering. The soldier with the machine gun provides cover. Several gunshots are heard — though it’s not clear from where — and the soldier slowly backs away from an outhouse, drawing out the Russian soldiers at gunpoint.*

The report comments that soon after the Russian soldiers emerge from the building, it is clear that an orderly surrender has taken place, with many of the prone Russian solders moving around on the ground after giving up their arms, clearly alive.

But soon after the entire scene turns to carnage:

* Two of the Ukrainians standing by appear to be relaxed and are pointing their rifles toward the ground...

As an 11th Russian soldier emerges from the outhouse, he opens fire, aiming at one of the Ukrainian soldiers. The Ukrainians are taken by surprise. The cellphone camera jolts away as the Ukrainian soldier filming the scene flinches. A frame-by-frame analysis of what happens next shows the Ukrainian soldier standing beside him raise his rifle and aim toward the Russian gunman.
...
The video ends and it’s unclear what happens next. But a second aerial video of the location shows the bloody aftermath," the NYT writes. "The Russian soldiers are lying motionless, apparently dead, most of them positioned as they were when they surrendered. Blood is pooling around them, and some appear to be bleeding from the upper body or head. The soldiers are dressed in the same uniforms with the distinctive red straps and blue marking."*
