Fairly certain by this time in Trump's Presidency, there were already a dozen or two anti-Trump threads created. Half of them by Ted alone.

So what gets the point across more?

Bringing up the fact that they haven't posted a single new Pro-Biden* thread in 9 days?

Or bringing up the fact that any of the anti-Biden* threads on the front page were all created long before he was elected*?

Oh... and lol... Save your Jackson's. They might be collectables one day.

Biden* is sure tackling the REAL problems that face Americans right out of the gates.

The good news is that nobody is going to have $20 to spend, so all of muh Nazi's probably won't even notice Harriet Tubman replaced Jackson for at least a few decades.

The Biden administration’s landmark day in the fight for the climate

January 27th was the most remarkable day in the history of America’s official response to the climate crisis, at least since that June afternoon in 1988, when NASA's James Hansen told a congressional committee that the planet had begun to heat. On Wednesday, in the course of a few hours, the Biden Administration took a series of coordinated actions that, considered together, may well mark the official beginning of the end of the fossil-fuel era.

The Biden Administration temporarily paused the new leasing of federal lands and waters for fossil-fuel production, while speeding up the process of permitting renewables. The President pledged that the federal government would start buying electric cars in volume. His order sets up or strengthens offices in the Justice Department, the Energy Department, and the Environmental Protection Agency to focus on what he called “environmental justice.” He announced that climate change would become a national-security priority for the Pentagon. And all of this came after his earlier pledges to rejoin the Paris climate accord and to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline. There’s a shock-and-awe feel to the barrage of actions, and that is the point: taken together, they send a decisive signal about the end of one epoch and the beginning of another. And that signal, most of all, is aimed at investors: fossil fuel, Biden is making clear, is not a safe bet, or even a good bet, for making real money. Coal, oil, and gas are the past, not the future. They’re the present, too, of course—but you don’t make big-money bets on the present.

We may not get to that future fast enough to stave off truly disastrous global warming—the natural world made some announcements of its own this week, including the news that the melt from glaciers and ice sheets is in line with the worst-case scenarios that scientists have produced—and we won’t get to that safer future easily. The fossil-fuel industry is already hitting back hard against the Biden announcements, using the only argument it has left: jobs. But the Administration’s team was prepared for the onslaught—Biden styled his announcements as a job-creation scheme, predicting, for instance, that electric cars would create a million new jobs for autoworkers. And his aides made clear that they understood the need to cushion the blow in areas where oil, gas, and coal jobs are disappearing. “We’re going to make sure that nobody is left behind,” the domestic climate czar Gina McCarthy told reporters. “We need to put people to work in their own communities. That’s where their home is. That’s where the vision is. So we are creatively looking at those opportunities for investment, so that we can get people understanding that we are not trying to take away jobs.”

The difference between these actions and the responses of previous Administrations is that Biden isn’t hedging his bets. . . .

“If we’re going to remove 51 billion tons of greenhouse gas emissions annually and get to zero emissions in 30 years,” she told the Washington Post, “this is going to require drastic action.” Her members, she said, are prepared to invest a trillion dollars in the coming years on clean energy projects. “We see nothing but opportunity.” And the fossil-fuel firms see nothing but trouble.

The planet is hotter now than it has been for at least 12,000 years, a period spanning the entire development of human civilisation. Analysis of ocean surface temperatures shows human-driven climate change has put the world in “uncharted territory”, the scientists say. The planet may even be at its warmest for 125,000 years, although data on that far back is less certain.

Oil and gas needs to accept climate reality and Biden's help in winding down

What does the industry say?

To boost job creation, federal and state officials should make all public lands, including national parks, available for oil and natural gas drilling.

Opening the nation to private development is the free market solution to the communistic practice of the government holding land for the common good. Ultimately, Congress should organize a massive land sale.

To bring down the cost of energy, federal and state officials should eliminate environmental regulations. After all, no corporation would impinge on public safety or risk its reputation because that might hurt shareholder value.

Governments should repeal taxes on oil and gas production to make U.S. products more competitive with cheaper overseas sources. Congress should also do away with fuel economy standards. We should encourage Americans to burn more domestic oil to employ as many Americans as possible.

We need these policies because if we don’t extract every available hydrocarbon molecule from federal land as cheaply as possible, Americans will have to bow down before Iran’s ayatollah to get enough gasoline for their commutes.

Climate change, on the other hand, will not make life unbearable for at least another 20 years. Our grandchildren will surely come up with a solution by then; they’re awfully good with computers.

These are the oil and gas industry’s arguments against President Joe Biden’s climate plan taken to their absurd conclusions. Perhaps I am showing my middle age, but polluters and profiteers have made the same arguments about jobs, economics and national security for 40 years.

If we’d listened to them, we’d have lead in our gasoline. The oil patch would still stink of sulfur. A permanent haze would envelop Texas cities. And millions of people would have died from lung problems.

Oil and gas lobbyists are paid to fight tooth and nail against every new regulation and tax. They make their money crying wolf, trying to protect every penny of their clients’ profits. The Western Energy Alliance sued the administration on Wednesday.

“Biden’s ban is an overreach meant to satisfy the environmental left, but it would seriously harm the livelihoods of tens of thousands of westerners and put at risk millions more as state services become unfunded,” Kathleen Sgamma, the alliance’s president, declared in a statement.

But the protesters are showing their true colors. It's not enough for them to make a choice and not get vaccinated, they want to make that choice for other people and try to keep them from getting vaccinated as well.

From my private experience in Texas with Trumptards, I think the California protest is only different in that it is publicly, rather than privately, expressing Trumptard beliefs:

A post on social media described the demonstration as the "Scamdemic Protest/March." It advised participants to "please refrain from wearing Trump/MAGA attire as we want our statement to resonate with the sheeple. No flags but informational signs only. This is a sharing information protest and march against everything COVID, Vaccine, PCR Tests, Lockdowns, Masks, Fauci, Gates, Newsom, China, digital tracking, etc."

Protesters carried signs that read "Save Your Soul TURN BACK NOW," "CNN IS LYING TO YOU," "RECALL GAVIN NEWSOM" and "TAKE OFF YOUR MASK."

Everything the Trumptards in California are protesting would be on a Texas Trumptard protest list, except for Governor Gavin Newson. Texas Trumptards wouldn't know who that Democrat is.

I don't ever see Trumptards I know in Texas wearing MAGA caps and Trump/Pence signs in their front yards and bumper stickers, but I know who the Trumptards are. In Washington D.C., it is trivial to know who is a Trumptard in Congress without any of them wearing MAGA caps. The ten moderate Senate Trumptards offered 30% of what Democrats want for Covid-19 relief. The forty extreme Trumptards offer zero percent.

Two pieces of advise, one of them I gave you just yesterday:

1. Stop applying what you see in Texas to what happens in the rest of the country. Comparing Texas to everybody else is just as faulty as comparing California to everybody else.

2. Stop assuming that even 5% of Democrat voters have half of your intelligence.

Oh... and for good measure...

3. Stop calling half of the country Trumptards. It makes you sound childish, and I've already given shit to JSF when he sounds equally childish calling the other half of the country Libtards.

6ix, all the Trumptards I know think of themselves as patriotic, special and talented people who work hard for what they have. But from observing them closely as I would deer and working with them, there is little patriotic, special, talented or hardworking about them. They have the American flag in their front yard, but let the flag get dirty and torn by the weather, which is just one out of a thousand peeves I have with nominal Trumptards. On the other hand, Democrats come in a variety of interesting levels of talent, brains, and hard work. There is no uniformity at all with Democrats. I should be a Trumptard because I actually have all the characteristics the nominal Trumptards think, but don't, have. But I'm not because I could see what a huge phony businessman Trump is, while the nominal Trumptards can neither see nor understand Trump or themselves. Trumptards remind me of the Confederates, who claimed to be morally and mentally superior to abolitionists. The Confederates couldn't understand that the slaves were doing the work, creating the wealth, and the Confederates were actually lazy dummies with a mindlessly belligerent attitude which lost the Civil War. The Confederates understood as little about themselves and their serious faults as do Trumptards. The ignoble tradition continues.

Nah.

Republicans have diversity of thought.

Democrats have diversity of skin color.

That's about the only real difference between them if you're going to lump 70 million people in a box.

I might believe you, but then I know the people who voted for Trump. They are the same as the Confederates. Some owned many slaves. Some didn't. Both kinds of Confederates went to war to protect their right to not work. Conceived in confusion the Confederacy spent most of its life in chaos.

Sometimes it's good to be wrong.
I thought Biden would be a disaster. His first 10 days have proved me wrong.

The former vice president, I averred, “would be a disaster.” Well… maybe… perhaps... I was wrong.

There, I said it.

The new president has been far from a disaster. His first 10 days were as smooth as any in modern presidential history — and that despite, perhaps, the worst presidential inheritance in all of American history.

So, you find worthy Trumptards? My habit of checking the praiseworthiness of Trumptards started with a used computer owned by an engineer, deacon of the church, good neighbor, man of the community. I got curious and technical. I found "deleted" files of his tax cheating and his porn that he hadn't properly erased. I regret destroying those files and keeping quiet. That was not the last time I looked -- really looked -- at who Trumptards are. (I actually turned that same process on me to check whether I could believe it, because I couldn’t believe how rotten these people were behind the lovely facade. The PI found all my embarrassing episodes and explained how he did it. Ugh, but none of those were criminal or godawful stuff I found on Trumptards.)

Nowadays I don't have to dig deep and spend money for investigation, unless I want to jail a Trumptard employee who is stealing. All I have do is ask them about Trump's taxes or other Trump scandals or Trump’s stop the steal. The Trumptards excuse him and attack the MSM, which gives away the Trumptards' secret life: no better than he is. I have occasionally verified that, when I need to make a decision about trusting them, by paying a PI, the same who investigated me. https://www.google.com/search?q=Trump+scandals

I compared to Trumptards to Confederates for a reason: both know what they were doing was wrong. The Confederates willing went to war to keep their slaves, knowing what slavery was:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Peculiar_Institution
https://libgen.unblockit.ltd/search.php?req=Peculiar+Institution

The Trumptards know what Trump is. They know he cheated, lied, and goofed off at important work. They do it themselves. They will vote for him again, given a chance in 2024.

Are Democrats Better for the Economy Than Republicans?

On GDP growth over the past 60 years, Democratic presidents averaged 3.5 percent growth vs. 2.5 percent for Republican presidents. On jobs growth, Democratic presidents averaged 2.2 growth vs. 1.2 percent for Republicans.

Back in the day I would have also calculated these numbers using a lag, on the assumption that a president's policies didn't have any effect in the first year or two of office. But that never made any difference, so I'm not going to bother.

Anyway, the message is clear: if you want real economic growth for the middle class, vote for Democratic presidents. If you want low taxes for the rich, vote for Republican presidents. It's pretty easy.

China's wealth is independent of permission from the White House. The President could not stop China from going to the moon, making H-bombs, or building anything the Chinese want and never will be able to stop them without nuking them and destroying both the USA and China since both countries share the same planet.

Hint for 6ix: China already won this contest and will keep scoring more points from now until forever, with the only exception being the USA nuking the world and stopping the game.

China's growth rocketed into sky because Chairman Mao, the fat dummy, died. Remember the Great Leap Forward? Mao's Cultural Revolution? What a catastrophe Mao was in China. You can see that by comparing China's economic growth rate to Taiwan, which Mao could never get his fat dumb fingers on. The USA can do well without fat dummy Trump.

I never ducked the question. I told you America does NOT have a common interest. America is 50 states pulling in 50 different directions. Have you heard in Russia about the American Civil War? General Grant and Sherman had to stomp the haughty Southern aristocracy into the grave to remind those esteemed noblemen that their "interests" in the ownership of slaves doesn't extend into other states. America is no more United than the former colonies of Great Britain are one great big United country. Ask about how much India and Pakistan and Bangladesh agree with each other. Why can't they just get along? Cooperate with their shared common interests?

So, OBVIOUSLY

- There's no common interest in defending the US borders against external threats? Let's get rid of the military then!

- There's no need to maintain a common currency? Let's get rid of the Treasury then!

- There's no need to facilitate interstate commerce? Or to regulate international trade? Strike Article I Section 8 Clause 3 from the Constitution, then!

And so on.

Come to think of it, if there are no common American interests, let's just get rid of the entire Constitution, and the federal government completely! Right? And now you've become a Texan GOPer!

But, if you're NOT a Texan GOPer, let me re-pose the questions:
What is in America's interests?
What is in Americans' interests?

Oh! yeah ... maybe you in your foreign land - wherever that may be - don't realize that the Civil War has been over for more than 155 years, and slavery has been over for more than 157 years. Slavery and the Civil War it sparked are both over and dead issues. No one is going to fight over slavery in the US again.

SIGNYM:
No, you don't. You know SOME of the people who voted for Trump. An invisble fraction. Now, of the people that I know who voted for Trump, two were technically-trained white women, one was a technically-trained Hispanic (born in Mexico), one was a techically-trained European immigrant, two are Cubanos (from Cuba), one a technically-trained Japanese woman immigrant, two tehnically-trained Taiwanese immigrant women, one a white guy from Idaho (a secretary) and his mainland-Chinese-born wife (a regional sales manager) and one a white guy from Georgia who is a retired gas company field supervisor.

SECOND They are the same as the Confederates....

SIGNY: Since you know even fewer Confederates than Trump voters - seeing as there are no living Confederates - I doubt you could make this comparison.

SECOND: So, you find worthy Trumptards?

Yes, I do know that you use PIs to investigate people you don't agree with, politically. Ask me how I know.

Quote:

Nowadays I don't have to dig deep and spend money for investigation, unless I want to jail a Trumptard employee who is stealing. All I have do is ask them about Trump's taxes or other Trump scandals or Trump’s stop the steal. The Trumptards excuse him and attack the MSM, which gives away the Trumptards' secret life: no better than he is.
Because anyone who thinks that the last election was filled with vote fraud is a "tumptard"? Dood, I reviewed data for a living, as you know. If anyone had passed that data across my desk I would have demanded a full audit. Starting with chain of custody.

Quote:

I compared to Trumptards to Confederates for a reason: both know what they were doing was wrong. The Confederates willing went to war to keep their slaves, knowing what slavery was:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Peculiar_Institution
https://libgen.unblockit.ltd/search.php?req=Peculiar+Institution

The Trumptards know what Trump is. They know he cheated, lied, and goofed off at important work. They do it themselves. They will vote for him again, given a chance in 2024.

Knowing all that ... and knowing that Dems are NO BETTER ... I chose Trump for three reasons. Only three. None of them consider Trump's flaws to be positives, simply making him about the same as Dems.

If not slavery, then the states fight over water or taxes or tariffs or trade or immigration or whatever. Tell me about the common interest that will reunite West Virginia and Virginia. Why do these two states not share a budget, laws, a two state wide government? Why doesn't rich Virginia at least give money to support poor West Virginia? Why don't they at least erase the border between them? Because a common interest doesn't exist. Separate interests exist.

There's no reason for them to ever reunite. But there are BIG reasons for them to stay in the United States - like for example - Federal currency. Federal programs like highways. Federal military protection from foreign countries. Protection from neighboring states, like West Virginia being protected from Virginia. Not having to deal with the rest of the US as if each state was a foreign nation. And so on.

So obviously there are common, shared reasons for states to stay in the United States.

You seem to have forgotten that the Vietnam war was mostly prosecuted by Democrats- JFK and especially LBJ - and that it was Nixon that wound it down.

The stupidity that got you into the tail end of a losing war continues to this day. Instead of taking responsibility for your mistakes and learning from them, you've spent a lifetime blaming others and bitterly hating those not responsible for your own stupidity. Also, blaming others for your own greed and your other slimy moral choices.

And that translates to hating an awful lot of Americans and wanting to see America destroyed.

You know Signy, there are things I don't want to think about too deeply or for too long. And one of them is whatever is going on in SECOND's head. I think he's far more deviant than I'd care to imagine.

And his interactions here are nothing if not tactical. For example, he uses information from his PIs to probe here for weakness - looking for defensive responses from people as he pokes them about various personal topics (or has induced other people to do, for example his recent focus on Jack and suicide).

As for his claim that he paid a PI to look into is own history just out of curiosity, I suspect he was looking for holes in his alibis - what could he be 'got' on - just to make sure his official history was airtight.

It's not important to him to BE moral - truthful, honorable, charitable - it's important to not be caught at being everything but.
