Trump Foundation funneled $100K in donations into revenue for Trump Organization: report

President Trump's charity foundation funneled $100,000 in donations meant for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital into revenue for the Trump Organization by using his son's charity, Forbes reported Tuesday.

For 10 years Eric Trump hosted an annual golf tournament which raised millions of dollars in donations for the hospital. According to the Forbes report, $100,000 of the donations was funneled through the Eric Trump Foundation back into Trump's golf courses for expenses incurred during the tournaments, despite donors being told that all their money would be used for charity.

In addition, more than $500,000 of donors' money over 10 years was re-donated to other charities, including some that were connected to Trump family members. At least four of those organizations also used Trump golf courses for charity tournaments.

I support Impeaching Trump. I have for about a month now. I don't think he did anything wrong, but I don't want to hear about it anymore. Just impeach him and get to the bottom of it.

I think the whole country has gone Looney-Tunes.

I do respect your opinions on the matter though since you manage too keep your cool and you do admit things like running Clinton was a terrible choice.

I think that that and many other things the Democrats have done are just as culpable for Trump's victory as anybody who voted for Trump is.

Let's hear some real reasons why Trump is a bad president. Like I said, I feel uncomfortable actually siding with the administration since it is not a place I've ever been in before.

To date though, the only things I've heard coming from the Left against Trump amount to little more than this:

I don't agree with whoever made the video and the crappy things they're saying about the 10 year old kid. He's a kid. He doesn't know what he's talking about. I'm just saying that many adults that have a problem with Trump today sound like this 10 year old kid.

Paul Manafort retroactively registers with Justice Dept. as foreign agent

Manafort is the second member of the Trump campaign to register as a foreign agent. In March, former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn registered with the Justice Department for work his consulting firm performed for a Turkish businessman that he said could have aided the Turkish government.

Both registrations came after the work had been completed. Under federal law, people who represent foreign political interests and seek to influence U.S. public opinion and policy are required to register with the Justice Department before they perform any work. Manafort's registration comes more than three years after he completed his work.

GOP Operative Sought Clinton Emails From Hackers, Implied a Connection to Flynn

Republican who said he was working with Michael Flynn tried to get Hillary Clinton emails from hackers

A Republican operative who said he was working with former Trump campaign adviser Michael Flynn tried to obtain Hillary Clinton’s emails from hackers, according to a report.

Emails from before the 2016 presidential election show that Peter Smith and his associates treated the future National Security adviser and his company as “allies” in their search, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.

Smith, a private equity financier, died at 81 on May 14, according to a Chicago-area obituary.

The Journal reported that it spoke to him 10 days before his death, when he said he knew Flynn but never stated that Flynn was involved in his email plan that began around Labor Day 2016.

WASHINGTON—Before the 2016 presidential election, a longtime Republican opposition researcher mounted an independent campaign to obtain emails he believed were stolen from Hillary Clinton’s private server, likely by Russian hackers.

'I was recruited to collude with the Russians': An unexpected player has added a new layer to the Trump campaign's Russia ties

Hackers believed to be Russian discussed how to steal Hillary Clinton's emails from her private server and transfer them to Michael Flynn via an intermediary, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday, citing reports compiled by US intelligence agencies investigating Russia's interference in the 2016 election.

One of those intermediaries, according to The Journal, may have been a GOP operative named Peter Smith — an 80-year-old opposition researcher who assembled a team of technology experts, lawyers and a Russian-speaking investigator in September to track down hacking groups with access to the 33,000 emails Clinton deleted from her private server that she said were personal in nature.

The Joss Whedon script for Serenity, where Wash lives, is Serenity-190pages.pdf at https://www.mediafire.com/two

On the campaign trail, Donald Trump remarked that once in the White House, he’d never see his golf courses again — because “I want to stay in the White House and work my ass off.”

In reality, Trump has spent 35 days at a golf property since taking office, according to NBC News. That amounts to more than 21 percent of his 164 days as president so far.

The New York Times also previously found that as of April, Trump had spent much more time at the golf course than his predecessors. By April 28, Trump had spent 19 days at the golf course. In comparison, Barack Obama had spent one day at the same point in his presidency, George W. Bush had spent zero, and Bill Clinton had spent five.

I sense a gap between voters' more reasonable expectations and Trump's actual performance, both on and off the golf course.

Justice Department's Corporate Crime Watchdog Resigns, Saying Trump Makes It Impossible To Do Job

Chen wrote. “To sit across the table from companies and question how committed they were to ethics and compliance felt not only hypocritical, but very much like shuffling the deck chair on the Titanic. Even as I engaged in those questioning and evaluations, on my mind were the numerous lawsuits pending against the President of the United States for everything from violations of the Constitution to conflict of interest, the ongoing investigations of potentially treasonous conducts, and the investigators and prosecutors fired for their pursuits of principles and facts. Those are conducts I would not tolerate seeing in a company, yet I worked under an administration that engaged in exactly those conduct. I wanted no more part in it.”

REAVERFAN

The fascism continues:

The Trump regime’s war on a free press is intensifying. After days spent attacking CNN and MSNBC, Trump tweeted a video of professional wrestling edited to appear as if Trump were beating up a person with CNN’s logo on their head.1

It would seem merely unhinged and juvenile if the Trump administration were not backing tweets up with dangerous policy. Trump has refused to hold press conferences and broken precedent to refuse press questions. The goal appears to be insulating the regime from all questions – except those from the propagandists at FOX News.2

In an ominous move, the White House has even banned reporters from recording or broadcasting some press conferences. In response, some journalists are suggesting that reporters should join together to keep rolling their phone cameras and record press briefings anyway.3 We need to echo this call and make it clear that Americans of all stripes are relying on journalists to defy the White House and bring press briefings to the public.

Without recordings, the White House can lie with impunity and then lie about their lies. Turning on the cameras and audio recorders does not mean giving the White House free publicity or broadcasting the daily briefings live. It is about resisting the Trump administration’s across-the-board efforts to limit press access, intimidate or threaten a free press, and deny the American people information about what our government is doing. Instead, reporters should turn on the cameras and audio recorders and see what lengths the White House is willing to go to in order to hide its agenda.

During the campaign, Trump deliberately targeted journalists for abuse and fostered an environment of intimidation. He mocked one disabled reporter. He has repeatedly denounced CNN simply for not following FOX News and acting like a state-run news agency.4 His whining and attacks have continued to this day. Trump recently interrupted remarks at an event honoring veterans to complain about the press.5 His Twitter feud with MSNBC hosts and his tweets declaring CNN “fake news” are just the latest step. But make no mistake: the problem is bigger than just Trump.

A few weeks ago, a Republican congressional candidate physically assaulted a reporter for asking questions about health care.6 Mitch McConnell has been trying, entirely in secret with no press access, to make laws that would kill thousands and leave 22 million without health care. White House staffers including Sean Spicer and Sarah Huckabee Sanders have, from day one, stymied, mislead, attacked, blamed, demeaned and outright lied to journalists attempting to shed light on their agenda.7 Now, they want to rob reporters of a valuable tool to hold them accountable.

Corporate executives at major media outlets like NBC have promoted and handed a platform to Trump.8 MSNBC has pushed out Black, Brown and progressive voices and embarked on a white conservative hiring spree.9 Cable news gave endless airtime to Trump throughout his campaign and are reaping the consequences. The problem is that, with some exceptions, journalists who do the actual reporting simply want to get the truth out there and are facing incredible barriers and even death threats as a result. CREDO will continue to hold corporate media companies accountable while defending the rights of journalists to do their jobs.

Republicans laid the groundwork with decades spent attacking non-partisan media as biased. But Trump has pushed outright hostility in an attempt to gain and increase his own power. Press freedom under Trump is no partisan issue but a simple matter of whether the Constitution and American democracy will thrive under an administration determined to trample it.

As part of his series of tweets today, Sunday, Trump said he "strongly pressed President Putin twice about Russian meddling on the issue" and that Putin "vehemently denied it".

He said the pair discussed forming "an impenetrable Cyber Security unit", prompting derision on social media.

I mean, generally, people feel more secure if the people accused of a crime aren't responsible for preventing further crimes.

It's like the Putin fox telling the Trump hen that he doesn't eat chicken and that he's going to keep all hens safe if they work together. It is evidence Trump has lost his mind or he is conspiring with Putin. Impossible to tell which since Trump is scatterbrained on election hacking.

Jack telling someone to look something up is to funny.

Fascism: An authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization. Yep, that's Trump. And, all his little Trumpetts.

Yep. That's google's definition, or at least the first half of it.

Here's Webster's. I trust Webster over Google since they've been in the business since it started:

Definition of fascism

Quote:

1 often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition

2 : a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control early instances of army fascism and brutality — J. W. Aldridge

Nothing about Right Wing in there. Huh.... Imagine that.

Still wondering where that strong dictatorial control and forcible suppression of opposition is too. Haven't seen any of that either.

Donald Trump Jr. has made a potentially damaging New York Times report much, much worse.

The Times on Sunday reported that the president's eldest son was promised damaging information about Hillary Clinton before meeting with a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer at Trump Tower in New York on June 9, 2016.

As Times reporters Jo Becker, Matt Apuzzo and Adam Goldman explained, Trump Jr.’s motivation for agreeing to the meeting “points to the central question in federal investigations of the Kremlin’s meddling in the presidential election: whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians. The accounts of the meeting represent the first public indication that at least some in the campaign were willing to accept Russian help.”

In a statement on Sunday, Donald Trump Jr. said he had met with the Russian lawyer at the request of an acquaintance. “After pleasantries were exchanged,” he said, “the woman stated that she had information that individuals connected to Russia were funding the Democratic National Committee and supporting Ms. Clinton. Her statements were vague, ambiguous and made no sense. No details or supporting information was provided or even offered. It quickly became clear that she had no meaningful information.”

“It became clear to me that this was the true agenda all along and that the claims of potentially helpful information were a pretext for the meeting,” Mr. Trump said.

Read that last part again: “the claims of potentially helpful information were a pretext for the meeting.”

What's you're point?

Somebody who happened to be Russian met with him saying they had damning information on Clinton. He figured out pretty early they didn't have anything of substance.

Maybe the Democrats are colluding with Russia and this meeting was set up just to have it on record that Trump Jr. met with Russians?

Sounds just as plausible as anything that you're passive aggressively insinuating here.

Not insinuating Jack. Sticking with the facts. Another Russian contact not disclosed. What went down was at the least attempted collusion according to lawyers. It's getting worse very quickly for Trump and his campaign.

Just another piece of the puzzle Jack. These guys are dying by a thousand cuts. Lie after lie being revealed. Russian contact after undisclosed Russian contact still being revealed. And Jack, confirmation of the story comes from mutable White House staff.

You're a moron Jack.

New Research Shows Guccifer 2.0 Files Were Copied Locally - DNC Not "Hacked By Russians"

New meta-analysis has emerged from a document published today by an independent researcher known as The Forensicator, which suggests that files eventually published by the Guccifer 2.0 persona were likely initially downloaded by a person with physical access to a computer possibly connected to the internal DNC network. The individual most likely used a USB drive to copy the information. The groundbreaking new analysis irrevocably destroys the Russian hacking narrative, and calls the actions of Crowdstrike and the DNC into question.
