It is! He's committing crimes in front of billions of people. It's like his guilt is typing for him. An incredible show - wouldn't miss it for the world. How many are going down with him? Are lawyers immune to "Obstruction" charges? Giuliani's pretty well admitted (also on camera) that he's counseled Trump to lie.

Keep in mind that we're speaking about the Russia investigation. It's not Muellers' investigation. This is our government investigating how Russia attacked this country. Don't miss what comes after the 5 minute mark. It talks about how some Americans are trying to disrupt the investigation and are therefore adding and abetting the enemy.

Aiding and abetting is a legal doctrine related to the guilt of someone who aids or abets in the commission of a crime. It exists in a number of different countries and generally allows a court to pronounce someone guilty for aiding and abetting in a crime even if they are not the principal offender.

Trump admits his son colluded (conspired) with the russians in an ill advised tweet. What a fucking moron. His son must have shit himself when he saw this. Trump is now a Mueller team witness against his son and anyone else who attended that meeting then lied to congress about the nature of that meeting.

No, it's not perfectly legal.

First, it was about Russian adoptions, then they said Trump had no idea. Then it went to it was about Hillary, but he just dictated it. Then it went to now: It was specifically for getting dirt and he obviously knew about it. It took the same route of lies that that Stormy Daniels shit did.

6ixStringJack, all that is really happening here is that the American system of justice works very slowly. Gangster John Gotti was murdering people. It took Mueller, the same guy who is investigating Trump, many years to jail Gotti.

A more functional system would be the Judge Dredd system, where Trump cannot refuse to talk to Mueller and where Trump gets executed if he gives the wrong answer. No waiting for justice.

Rather than be amazed by how professional Mueller is Jack shows he is clueless and can't follow along. No surprise there.

Hey Jack, 33 indictments, 26 are Russian, 4 were top trump cabinet members or managers of his campaign. 3 were Russian companies and that's just the tip of the iceberg dummy.

I've said it before and I'll remind you. Mueller hasn't even gotten to Assange yet. Or Trump JR, or Stone, or the son in law. And so on and so on. In the meantime everyone Trump has brought to Washington is being exposed as a swamp creature. You come across as a complete moron Jack. Think boy think.

What’s going on with Mueller’s questioning of Stone’s associates

So for the past several months, Mueller’s team has brought several close associates of Stone before the grand jury, in an apparent attempt to suss out what exactly Stone knew and did related to stolen Democratic emails — but some have been more willing than others. The latest drama involves three in particular:

1) Andrew Miller: Miller is a political operative with deep and longtime ties to Stone. His stepmom, Dianne Thorne, was Stone’s assistant for about two decades. His wife has done publicity for Stone’s books. And he himself started off as Stone’s driver before taking on more political work for him. Miller calls him “Uncle Stone” and even drove him to get his famous Richard Nixon tattoo, as he described on a podcast last year.

Miller was initially subpoenaed by Mueller’s team in May, but refused to show up to two scheduled grand jury appearances. Eventually, he got the help of a conservative think tank to file a lawsuit to try to get him out of testifying — by trying to strike down Mueller’s appointment. But last week, a DC judge ruled against him in the suit and said that, yes, he did have to testify.

Miller’s new testimony was scheduled for Friday — and once again, he didn’t show up. As a result, a judge found him in contempt. But his legal team is appealing again, hoping to bring the case eventually to the Supreme Court.

Why Miller is fighting so hard to avoid testimony isn’t clear. The Washington Post reports that the subpoena to him asked for information on WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, Guccifer 2, and DC Leaks. A Super PAC run by Stone also made a payment to a firm run by Miller during the 2016 campaign.

2) Kristin Davis: Another recurring character in Stoneworld who’s caught Mueller’s interest is Kristin Davis, the former “Manhattan Madam” who gained national fame during the prostitution scandal that forced the resignation of New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer. Davis did some work for Stone, and ran for governor of New York in 2010 at Stone’s urging (her campaign manager was Andrew Miller).

After serving a prison sentence for distributing prescription drugs, Davis got out in 2016 and reentered Stone’s orbit, helping with his travel schedule and bookings. She also had a baby named Carter Stone Davis. (Stone has publicly claimed that FBI agents have been asking his associates whether he’s the baby’s father.) See the original article for all the operatic weirdness and drama.

I've been betting that Trump evaded income taxes on that laundering scheme. If Mueller should happen to bring it up in his final report, the GOP will waive that aside as nothing important, but voters might not. Trump pays the back taxes and penalties, but might lose reelection. Who knows? Depends on how big a fraud he committed. He might blame it all on his accountant. I'm pretty sure there won't be any jail for Trump, no more than there was for Nixon, who actually did cheat on his taxes and blamed his accountant, who was charged with the crime that Nixon should have been charged with.

"Mr. Morgan in November, pleaded guilty to charges of fraud relating to Mr. Nixon's tax returns and is serving a four-month jail sentence for this crime." Should have been Nixon in jail, but Morgan took the fall for his boss. You can be damn sure that Morgan was amply and secretly rewarded for his service to Nixon by some anonymous GOP donor.

What good would 4 months of Nixon in jail have done for any American?

It's pretty ridiculous that he was able to have his accountant take the heat in the first place, yes, but at the end of the day 4 months in a white-collar resort for Nixon over that wouldn't have really affected his life at all.

It just goes to show what the 1%'ers can get away with that would absolutely ruin anybody in the 99% that got caught doing the same things.

It took years and years before Mary Livingston, a federal archivist, could get anybody important to look into Nixon stealing $450,000. The same will happen with Trump. We're only 2 years into it. So if the Nixon example is followed then we've got at least 4 more years of important people looking the other way on Trump.
http://taxprof.typepad.com/taxprof_blog/2007/03/remembering_ric.html

And then when it is all done, Nixon's accountant takes the fall for Nixon. Again, the important people who are suppose to enforce the law did what they could to protect Nixon. They couldn't stop a trial, but they could mislead a jury about who did what. And Nixon did not pay back all he owed because the legal reckoning was too slow. The statue of limitations kicked in.

The same will happen with Trump, probably. After all the Sound and the Fury of Trump's Presidency, somebody other than Trump will pay the price. We already know the name of one important cheat who is protecting Trump from justice: House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, a California Republican.

You are mistaken about its importance. There are many Americans, none of them President, who also deserved hanging: "Killing Japanese didn't bother me very much at that time... I suppose if I had lost the war, I would have been tried as a war criminal.... Every soldier thinks something of the moral aspects of what he is doing. But all war is immoral and if you let that bother you, you're not a good soldier."

-- General Curtis LeMay on the morality of the firebombing campaign. https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Curtis_LeMay

What is the important thing to remember? Pick an American at random. Place them in danger. It doesn't have to be much. About half of the fearful Americans will go completely berserk and start killing women and children at random. Only about half of Americans understood that it was wrong to burn to death women and children with A-bombs. Only about half of the soldiers I was with in Vietnam understood it was wrong to murder South Vietnamese civilians. What kept the worst half of American soldiers under control was the better half.

6ixStringJack, if you haven't learned it by now, you probably never will, but about half of all Americans are completely crazy. Other people who have steadier minds keep the crazy ones under control. But with minimal pressure about half of Americans will do the craziest, most dishonest things they can imagine, if they think nobody will stop them.

To put a happy face on America, about half the citizens need to be in jobs that don't require maturity, self-control, or even much effort. Placed in a trying situation, they will crackup.

On fireflyfans.net, the Americans here who should never be in a position of authority can't actually do any harm. Trump can, but as luck would have it, he is stupider and lazier than Bush, so Trump has not found his own Afghanistan to invade by now. For awhile, North Korea looked like a good candidate. Maybe it will be Iran. Maybe Trump will go to a trade war with China. Who can know with that unsteady man? Plainly, even he doesn't know what he will do. He says, "We'll see" far too often to be a man that knows his own mind.

Trump has been talking about nuking people, going back and forth about it being a good idea or not. He is not alright in his head.

What if the White House legal staff came up with their own arguments in favor of a rash attack? The past 50 years of American warfare has shown that presidents and their advisers have been able to come up with “just war” arguments for every military engagement, no matter how stretched in retrospect. Using a nuclear weapon on Pyongyang, for example, could be theoretically justified by arguing that it would be a legitimate military target (much of North Korea’s command and control infrastructure and leadership is probably located there) and that not doing it would be more consequential (in the same way that the use of atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 was buttressed by arguments that ending World War II without a ground invasion of Japan saved lives). Would this reasoning stand up in a court of law? Would it ever come to a court of law? The lawyers making it would know it would never have to: The United States has a weak record on prosecuting its own service members for doing what they could argue they thought was right, whatever the consequences.

Trump is losing his mind. Today's tweets:

“Seems like the Department of Justice (and FBI) had a program to keep Donald Trump from becoming President”. @DarrellIssa @foxandfriends If this had happened to the other side, everybody involved would be in jail. This is a Media coverup of the biggest story of our time.

Agent Peter Strzok was just fired from the FBI - finally. The list of bad players in the FBI & DOJ gets longer & longer. Based on the fact that Strzok was in charge of the Witch Hunt, will it be dropped? It is a total Hoax. No Collusion, No Obstruction - I just fight back!

Just fired Agent Strzok, formerly of the FBI, was in charge of the Crooked Hillary Clinton sham investigation. It was a total fraud on the American public and should be properly redone!

Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on the Apprentice, now got fired for the last time. She never made it, never will. She begged me for a job, tears in her eyes, I said Ok. People in the White House hated her. She was vicious, but not smart. I would rarely see her but heard.… ...really bad things. Nasty to people & would constantly miss meetings & work. When Gen. Kelly came on board he told me she was a loser & nothing but problems. I told him to try working it out, if possible, because she only said GREAT things about me - until she got fired!

While I know it’s “not presidential” to take on a lowlife like Omarosa, and while I would rather not be doing so, this is a modern day form of communication and I know the Fake News Media will be working overtime to make even Wacky Omarosa look legitimate as possible. Sorry!

Wacky Omarosa already has a fully signed Non-Disclosure Agreement! (Trump probably thinks the unhinged Trump stories in Omarosa's "Unhinged" book are illegal because Omarosa signed an agreement to not tattle-tale on his crazy days in the White House. She saw it all and wrote it down.)

When Gen. Trump twitted https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/1029183344397955074

.@MarkBurnettTV called to say that there are NO TAPES of the Apprentice where I used such a terrible and disgusting word (the N-word) as attributed by Wacky and Deranged Omarosa. I don’t have that word in my vocabulary, and never have. She made it up. Look at her MANY recent quotes saying.…....such wonderful and powerful things about me - a true Champion of Civil Rights - until she got fired. Omarosa had Zero credibility with the Media (they didn’t want interviews) when she worked in the White House. Now that she says bad about me, they will talk to her. Fake News!

Just because Mark Burnett, the executive producer of the Apprentice, doesn't know of any tapes doesn't mean anything. Mark didn't watch every moment on every tape BEFORE Trump was president. He didn't suddenly do it now.

There’s a pattern here. Trump praises someone who praise him, he hires them, they realize how horrible he is, they leave. And then he says they were horrible people. When will Trump’s followers catch on?

But even if Omarosa and her tapes say exactly what the president’s opponents want to hear — that he’s a racist, that he’s a bumbling idiot, that he has no control over his own White House — her “insider’s account” will never be as satisfying as the anti-Trump resistance might hope. The first problem is the source. Omarosa, like the president, is an opportunist built for and by reality television. Her willingness to do anything for notoriety, including but not limited to playing the villain on a corny game show and signing up for a role in a racist presidential administration, makes her an unreliable narrator.

The second problem is content. An N-word recording could serve as shorthand for Trump’s racism for those unwilling or unable to see the racism in his policies. And it would probably spur some Republican leaders to cut ties with Trump, at least temporarily, as they did when the Access Hollywood tape came out in October 2016. But there is reason to believe that an N-word tape wouldn’t torpedo Trump’s presidency, or even keep him from winning a second term. By this point, we shouldn’t need to hear Trump saying the N-word to become convinced that he considers black people second-class citizens. At the same time, no one who has supported him through his Obama birther fabrication, his insistence that the Central Park Five are guilty, and his defense of white supremacists as “very fine people” will turn against him because he used a racial slur.

This may be the one presidential administration (so far!) to render leaks and secret recordings almost entirely useless. Trump has no dignity to lose, and today’s White House has no positive reputation to sully. It would take a truly extraordinary story to convince us that Trump and his administration are worse than they appear from the outside. And for that story to have a meaningful impact, it would need to be delivered by someone other than a fame-obsessed huckster or an incompetent dummy or a white supremacist sympathizer. That’s a requirement that works in Trump’s favor because, by definition, almost everyone willing to accept a position under Trump fits snugly under those three umbrellas.

www.houstonchronicle.com/opinion/editorials/article/real-enemy-of-the-
people-not-the-press-Trump-13159543.php

The president would have you believe that we — the reporters, editors, opinion writers, photographers, designers of the newspaper you are reading now — are your enemy.

He is only right if your friend is unchecked government power.

If your allies are corruption and misuse of taxpayer dollars. Biased grand juries and wrongful convictions. A state policy illegally denying special education services to thousands of Texas children. Short-sighted policies that worsened Harvey’s epic destruction. Unpoliced stockpiles of deadly chemicals across Houston that leave residents and first responders vulnerable.

These are the true enemies of everyday Americans. They are among the problems that journalists at the Houston Chronicle have worked to expose, to critique, to change.

President Trump’s hostile rhetoric — declaring journalists “very dishonest people,” and branding stories critical of his policies “fake news” — is concerning in a democratic republic that can’t survive without a free, vibrant and, yes, trusted, press.

Is Trump the first president to excoriate the news media? No.

Thomas Jefferson famously wrote “were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.” When the papers — which fell far short of today’s standards of fairness — began to attack Jefferson as president, he returned the insults. But he never stopped defending newspapers’ right to publish such offending words.

President Nixon had a list of press “enemies” audited, his Justice Department unsuccessfully sued The New York Times over the Pentagon Papers and he called reporting during Watergate “vicious, distorted.” President Obama said the right things supporting the news media’s role, but his administration was known to be opaque and his Justice Department prosecuted leakers and seized journalists’ phone records. The American Society of News Editors had to fight for access for photojournalists to cover Obama.

What makes Trump’s undermining of the press worse is that it’s not taking place in bureaucracy’s back rooms. Trump’s insults directed at reporters and news organizations, and his threats to limit press access and freedoms, are front and center at press conferences, at rallies, on Twitter. And they’re incessant.

Not only do they pose a danger to journalists’ safety — history tells us mere bias can progress to harsh words, to bullying and even to violence if society comes to accept the escalating forms of ridicule as normal — but there’s a more insidious threat. Trump’s broad brush undermines the collective credibility of thousands of American journalists across the country, and the world, who make up the Fourth Estate — so called for its watchdog role over the other three branches of government.

“The only business in America specifically protected by the Constitution,” as President Kennedy once said of the press.

The relationship between the press and power was never designed to be comfortable. No leader wants to have her actions questioned, his words scrutinized, her spending subject to open records laws.

How easy it would be for our elected officials to govern without that pesky impediment called the free press. But how easy it would be for an unhindered government to become a regime, for people deprived of information to become subjects, for individual freedoms to evaporate.

That impediment — a free press — is the most powerful tool Americans have to protect other constitutional rights. Without the press, how would you know if Congress one day decided to curtail your right to own a gun, or to vote? There would be no one to text you a breaking news alert.

The Founders understood that the First Amendment, protecting speech, the press and religious expression, is the bedrock of any free society. We set the standard for the world.

If Trump continues to attack the messenger, the public will lose trust in truthful messages. Fact will become subjective. Americans may come to believe that the best version of the truth is a press release on official letterhead written by someone on the government payroll.

While the news media, like any other institution, is made up of humans who harbor bias and make mistakes, it’s also made up of professional skeptics who abhor group-think and prescribed agendas.

That insolent gaggle of questioners and sleuthing malcontents that Trump likes to lump into one foe actually work for hundreds of different news organizations. They compete. They scoop each other. They check each other.

Somewhere in that messy process of competitive newsgathering, a consensus arises — a truth derived from reporting, interviews and observation — not from a corporate statement or government mouthpiece. Much of journalism is hard, thankless work. For many, it is a calling to wake up every morning, seek the truth, tell the stories of regular folks.

Chronicle journalists have a track record of rooting out corruption, waste and injustice. Readers, trusting in our work, have demanded change. We strive to keep that trust. In the end, we’re fighting for you.

The next time the president starts in on the press, remember: Journalists who report facts that powerful people don’t want you to know are not the enemy; they’re the strongest ally democracy has.

McGahn, White House Counsel, Has Cooperated Extensively in Mueller Inquiry

In at least three voluntary interviews with investigators that totaled 30 hours over the past nine months, Mr. McGahn described the president’s fury toward the Russia investigation and the ways in which he urged Mr. McGahn to respond to it. He provided the investigators examining whether Mr. Trump obstructed justice a clear view of the president’s most intimate moments with his lawyer.

Doing opposition research isn't collusion.

Now, if Trump conspired to - hack voting machines, or buy off election officials - for example, that would be collusion.

Say, Hillary's campaign actually paid real money for dirt obtained from Russians and funneled through Steele. Do you think she should be investigated for collusion?

Agreed. I wonder what he knew about any of that and when he knew it? Hard for me to fathom that if Putin tells the world (Helsinki) that he wanted Trump to win and that he directed his people to help, that Trump wouldn't have had that in one of the many conversations he had with Putin. Why else would Putin help Trump win unless you think Putin would do it and expect nothing in return?

No one from Hillary's campaign sat down with any Russians, did they? So no, she doesn't need to be investigated.
The Steel dossier started with Republican funding btw, "The Washington Free Beacon, a conservative website funded by a major Republican donor, initially retained the firm that conducted opposition research on Donald J. Trump" - maybe they should all be investigated?

They paid for someone to sit down with Russians, and got a 'dossier' to show for it. Smells like conspiracy to me. Maybe you need to look up the legal definition.

So weak... it's like you don't care about the truth any more. That claim is easily debunked:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2018/02/09/did-hil
lary-clinton-collude-with-the-russians-to-get-dirt-on-trump-to-feed-it-to-the-fbi/?utm_term=.1f21cb48ebfe

"Now, let’s see if this material backs up Nunes’s claim: “Hillary Clinton colluded with the Russians to get dirt on Trump to feed it to the FBI to open up an investigation into the other campaign.”

Based on the available evidence, this claim quickly falls apart.

The Clinton campaign, via a law firm, did seek “dirt” on Trump and Russia. Steele did rely on Russian sources, supposedly contacts mined from his years as a spy. Steele did actively seek to draw attention to what he had found, though virtually no reporters wrote about his allegations before the election because they could not confirm them. And the FBI did use Steele’s reports to help obtain a court order allowing surveillance of a Trump associate — but that was after Page had quit the campaign.

For some, that may seem like a lot of smoke. But it’s a huge leap to say Clinton colluded with Russians to do this. Instead, you have (a) the campaign hiring (b) a research firm that hired (c) a researcher who spoke (d) to Russian sources. Steele, for his part, has suggested he tried to alert reporters and the FBI because he was appalled by what he had discovered. The closest connection to Clinton is the fact that Steele gave to the FBI material written by Clinton associates, but it’s unclear what the FBI did with that memo.

Meanwhile, there is little dispute over the finding by U.S. intelligence agencies that Russia developed a clear preference for Trump — and that Russian entities hacked into Democratic National Committee and Clinton campaign accounts to obtain emails that were then leaked to undermine her campaign. It certainly would have been a sophisticated game of three-dimensional chess for Russia to simultaneously seek to undermine Clinton’s campaign while supplying her with information to spur an investigation of Russian activities on behalf of Trump.

Finally, the Nunes memo disclosed that the FBI opened a counterintelligence operation in July 2016 because of allegations concerning another Trump adviser, George Papadopoulos. But Papadopoulos was never mentioned in any of Steele’s reports. He came to the attention of the FBI because he had told an Australian diplomat that the Russians had obtained thousands of Clinton’s emails. He has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI and is cooperating with the special counsel.

Jack Langer, spokesman for the House Intelligence Committee, did not respond to queries about Nunes’s statement on the Hewitt show. But earlier in the week, we asked him why Nunes had said Papadopoulos “never even had met with the president” when Trump himself on March 31, 2016, had circulated on social media a photo of the two men together during a meeting of Trump’s foreign-policy advisers.

“Yes, there’s a photo of more than a dozen people sitting around a conference table, including Papadopoulos and Trump,” Langer replied. “But that does not make clear whether the two men knew each other at all.”

Presumably the same could be said for Clinton and Steele — especially since there is no known photo of the two together, let alone a known meeting.

The Pinocchio Test

Was the dossier used to gin up media attention to Russia-Trump ties and bolster an existing FBI investigation? Perhaps. That’s certainly a question worth exploring.

But the media needed little prodding to investigate when candidate Trump appeared unexpectedly solicitous of Russian President Vladimir Putin as Russian-linked entities leaked emails stolen by Russian hackers in the middle of a campaign. Meanwhile, the initial FBI counterintelligence probe was prompted not by Steele’s reporting but by the loose lips of a Trump campaign staffer.

Finally, there is no evidence that Clinton was involved in Steele’s reports or worked with Russian entities to feed information to Steele. That’s where Nunes’s claim goes off the rails — and why he earns Four Pinocchios.

Four Pinocchios"
