Trump is edging toward full crazy: "Trump threatens to close border, terminate trade deals, cut aid unless wall is funded"
Being crazy is an impeachable offense. The Senate won't need Mueller's investigation to impeach a madman, but when the final report is available, it might tip the balance in the Senate toward removing Trump.

Trump is not really crazy until he actually follows through on his, usually, empty threats. If he does what he says, but I doubt he is crazy enough, the economic damage will ruin Trump's Presidency:

Trump will be in more and more impeachable trouble as more and more of the following Sample Letters to Creditors are sent.

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management gave workers sample letters to explain the shutdown to landlords and creditors. Read them here:

Dear (Name of Company or individual with whom you have spoken)

This is to confirm our conversation of (date) in which we discussed a temporary reduction in my monthly payment.

As we discussed, I am a Federal employee who has recently been furloughed due to a lack of funding of my agency. Because of this, my income has been severely cut and I am unable to pay the entire cost of my monthly payments, along with my other expenses.

As we had agreed in our conversation, I will be able to make regular payments inthe amount of $_______. I realize that I will be responsible to pay the remainder of the payments and, when I return to work, I will contact you immediately to work out a plan to take care of the reduced payments. I will also keep in touch with you to keep you informed about my income status. I appreciate your willingness to work with me and your understanding during this difficult time.

Sincerely,
(Name)

Funny that this poll was put together back in July and this is the first I've heard of it. I've downloaded it and will be looking through it after work.

If it is legitimate, then our resident RUSSIA!!!! Trolls here are representative of less than 1% of the country today. This wouldn't be surprising since less than 1% of the country watches CNN/MSNBC on a daily basis.

EDIT: One thing I did have a chance to look at before I go is the Satisfaction to Dissatisfaction ratio breakdown for the question "In general, are you satisfied or dissatisfied with the way things are going in the United States at this time?" that dates back to 1983.

Though the current month's result is 35/62/2 and doesn't sound very great, it has been flirting with the high 30's several times this year.

It should be noted that the ONLY time during the entire Obama presidency that the number was ever as "high" as 35 for satisfaction were two months, all the way back in May and August of 2009. A majority of his presidency was mired in the 10's and 20's for Satisfaction.

How am I only hearing about this now? /end of rhetorical questions

This is how the House Republican effort to undermine Mueller by “investigating the investigators” ends. Not with a bang, but with a Friday, buried-in-the-holidays whimper, and one foot out the door:

Ralph Waldo Emerson explained why succinctly: “When you strike at a king, you must kill him.” So long as the House Democratic leadership know that at least 34 GOP Senators are afraid of the revenge Trump voters would take against those Senators, the Senators will refuse to convict Trump. That makes it futile for the House to vote for impeachment.

At the present moment there are 53 GOP Senate votes guaranteed not to convict, no matter what Trump did. For those Republican Senators voting to convict Trump would be like them voting to execute the Father of their political party. The family of Trump voters would rise up against such a Senator. Until a majority of Trump voters peel away from Trump in a state that elected a Republican Senator, no Republican Senators will ever vote to convict Trump of anything, no matter how high the pile of evidence there is to justify a conviction.

It's exactly what the Democrats would do if the tables were turned.

It can takes years for Americans to recognize a conman despite mountains of circumstantial evidence they are being conned. Here is an example, applicable to Trump, about how that works:

The number one, best book of the year, is Bad Blood by John Carreyrou

Free copy by bit torrent is here:
https://1337x.to/torrent/3011918/Bad-Blood-by-John-Carreyrou-EPUB/

The review that ties the book into Trump:
www.motherjones.com/kevin-drum/2019/01/top-1-books/

Bad Blood is about the rise and fall of Elizabeth Holmes and her company Theranos, which promised to transform the field of blood testing. I’ve had a chance to mention this book to a few people who have read it, and we all had the same reaction: utter, stunned disbelief. Even if you’ve read all of Carreyrou’s reporting on Theranos for the Wall Street Journal, you still don’t understand a fraction of the story. The whole thing was a long con from the very start, and one that lasted nearly a decade based on literally nothing more than the strength of Holmes’s ability to mesmerize investors, regulators, board members, and even her own employees. You simply have to read it to believe it.

The fact that Holmes could do what she did in the midst of the self-proclaimed smartest people in the world sure doesn’t say anything good about Silicon Valley. In the end, I suppose what it really tells us is just how unprepared most of are for a person who’s willing to lie to our faces persistently and persuasively. This is how Donald Trump gets away with lying to his core base and how fraudulent journalists can ply their trade for so long. As cynical and perceptive as we like to think of ourselves, it rarely occurs to us that someone is just flatly making stuff up, if only because these kinds of lies obviously can’t be sustained, so why would anyone be dumb enough to traffic in them?

And yet some people are—or perhaps it’s better to say that they aren’t dumb so much as they combine an eye-watering level of confidence in their ability to BS people on the fly with a fear of being caught out that’s so intense it keeps roping them in further and further. Charles Ponzi had it. Bernie Madoff had it. And Elizabeth Holmes had it. (If Trump stays on long enough, Americans might realize he is a member of this super conman group. Obvious to me, GOP Senators are NOT going to act against Trump until a majority of Trump voters realize they have been conned. And the GOP Senators feel no obligation to make that clear except for the rare bird such as soon-to-be-retired GOP Senator Jeff Flake. https://qz.com/1181975/ )

Harry Reid, former Senate majority leader, on President Trump
www.nytimes.com/2019/01/02/magazine/harry-reid-senate-cancer-trump.htm
l

Reid attended high school in Henderson, hitchhiking 45 miles each way from his hometown, Searchlight: a drive-through smudge of a town between Las Vegas and Needles, Calif., which, in his youth, boasted at least a half-dozen brothels and not a single church. His acidic outlook was informed by his childhood, during which he endured extreme poverty and dysfunction and substance abuse in his family. He took up boxing in high school and put himself through George Washington University Law School by working as a Capitol Police officer. Back in Nevada, he was schooled in the piranha bowl of Las Vegas politics. This education included a stint as Nevada’s gaming chairman in the 1970s, which placed him in the cross hairs of the Las Vegas mob. (Some of the plot of the film “Casino” was based loosely on Reid’s experiences.) There were numerous threats to his life and at least one actual attempt (a bomb discovered under the hood of his family car).

The former F.B.I. director James Comey, after he was fired by Trump, compared Trump to the head of a mafia family, with its codes of silence and loyalty, its fear-based leadership style and fealty to a single godfather. “It’s not about anything else except the boss,” Comey said in a recent interview at the 92nd Street Y in New York. Others have drawn the same parallel, and I asked Reid if, given his unusually relevant professional experience in this area, it rang true. Reid expelled a quick and dismissive chuckle. “Organized crime is a business,” he told me, “and they are really good with what they do. But they are better off when things are predictable. In my opinion, they do not do well with chaos. And that’s what we have going with Trump.”

Still, Reid added: “Trump is an interesting person. He is not immoral but is amoral. Amoral is when you shoot someone in the head, it doesn’t make a difference. No conscience.” There was a hint of grudging respect in Reid’s tone, which he seemed to catch and correct. “I think he is without question the worst president we’ve ever had,” he said. “We’ve had some bad ones, and there’s not even a close second to him.” He added: “He’ll lie. He’ll cheat. You can’t reason with him.” Once more, a hint of wonder crept into his voice, as if he was describing a rogue beast on the loose in a jungle that Reid knows well.

Mitt Romney, a Republican from Utah and the party’s 2012 nominee for president, will be sworn into the U.S. Senate on Thursday. He wrote:
Quote:

To a great degree, a presidency shapes the public character of the nation. A president should unite us and inspire us to follow “our better angels.” A president should demonstrate the essential qualities of honesty and integrity, and elevate the national discourse with comity and mutual respect. As a nation, we have been blessed with presidents who have called on the greatness of the American spirit. With the nation so divided, resentful and angry, presidential leadership in qualities of character is indispensable. And it is in this province where the incumbent’s shortfall has been most glaring.

Yup. Hillary would have been sooooo much better. What with her basket of deplorables comments that to this day have shaped much of the toxic social media landscape in the country.

That "deplorable" has an interesting history, meaning that it didn’t happen the way the GOP said it did. But there is nothing new about the GOP lying. Or easily taking offense because of thin skin.

The Mueller investigation will unveil evidence of Trump putting himself out to the highest bidder in return for campaign help and financing: Russians, Saudis, Emiratis, Qataris — there will be evidence that millions of foreign dollars illegally flowed into the Trump campaign coffers in 2016;

In other words, Trump basically said, “I’m for sale”;

We may learn the source of the $66 million of his own money that Trump donated to his campaign in 2016. Was it a foreign entity who gave him the money as, in effect, an illegal pass-through?

Now that he has removed Secretary of Defense James Mattis, Trump can do what he tried in 2018: He will remove our troops from South Korea;

This is exactly what North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong Un, and China and Russia want us to do;

Trump tried this last spring but Mattis and former chief of staff John Kelly talked him out of it; now, neither man remains to stop him;

This will provoke a crisis the likes of which we have never seen;

The GOP Senate will go nuts when this happens, as will the Pentagon and Japan;

This action may begin the breaking away of the 20 GOP senators it will take to remove Trump if the House impeaches, dooming the Trump presidency;

Am I guessing correctly that if Hillary was President you would have impeached her for her two year old remarks that deeply offend your delicate sensibilities, little snowflake? But once she was President she's smart enough to NOT pour more gasoline on a raging fire of Republicans wanting her to be impeached. On the other hand, Trump simply loves to pour more gasoline on his own raging fire. The flames excite him, delight him. The bigger the bonfire the better he feels about being President. That guy has got a loud mouth on him. He is an example for Republican-Americans on how to behave yourself.

I could care less what she has to say. She is irrelevant, and if the Democrats put her as their first choice again they will lose to Trump, again.

It's only idiots like Reaverfan that listen to her and start accosting people on the streets that worries me. Fortnuately, even CNN has begun calling Antifa an extremist violent movement.

She was completely right of course - it keeps being proven every day with every Tweet from Lord Douchbag. Her only mistake was it was really, really bad politics to throw the GOP such a wonderful gift.

Mueller's office may have dropped a hint about the mystery grand-jury subpoena case that has Washington enthralled

Prosecutors working for the special counsel Robert Mueller indicated Thursday that their case against several Russian entities accused of carrying out a social-media disinformation scheme to interfere in the 2016 election is tied to an ongoing "matter occurring before the grand jury."

The revelation prompted fervent observers of the Russia probe to point out that prosecutors may be referring to a separate and secret legal battle between Mueller and an unknown foreign company fighting a grand-jury subpoena.

The subpoena case has been shrouded in mystery since last summer, and the Supreme Court is currently weighing whether to force the unidentified company to pay fines that were imposed on it by a lower court for refusing to comply with Mueller's subpoena.

I said that Hillary herself is a hateful and crazy bitch. Watch the youtube video of her deplorables speech to see hateful and crazy.

As for that comment, she is giving a call to non-Republicans to be uncivil. It gives you guys a free pass to be as big of assholes as you want to be, and removes any guilt for behaving like absolute pieces of shit whenever you feel the urge.

This is something that you all have taken advantage of, to a greater or lesser extent. T and Reaverfan being the worst of the bunch on this particular website. Every single post that either of those two clowns make is a personal attack against anybody who doesn't share their perspective on things.

But who really gives a shit about fff.net where we don't know each other by name and only subject ourselves to each other because we're all a little bit crazy? None of this here matters.

Where it does matter is on social media like Facebook and Twitter. Places where friends and family members that I know haven't talked to each other for over two years now because of how toxic the political environment has gotten and how it has bled into most American's lives because of technology.

It's fucking sick... The idea that anybody who is family or supposedly friends could let cunts like Hillary or Trump ruin their relationships.

The original point of all of this was Second posting what Romney had to say about the Trump presidency. I don't actually find much to argue with Romney about with that article. My point was that Hillary was at the very least JUST as bad regarding all of it as Trump was.

PLEASE, G...

Fix your fucking party and put up a decent candidate next time.

I'm not a fucking Republican and I used to lean pretty far to the left when GWB was in office. Over the last 10 years the Democrat party has become so vile it's pushed me over to the other side.
