I went to a weather site to check it out! It looks like your temps were as low as a brisk 50F last night, and as high as a comfortable 65F today, and that that'll be your weather for the next 10 days except for Wednesday, when your daytime temps will be as high as 70F. I could deal with a heat wave like that!

I felt it, but only just barely, 3 extremely small ground shifts. If I had to say how much displacement, I'd guess well under an inch. And I only noticed it because I was sitting very still. Otherwise I wouldn't have noticed it at all.

It was near Carson. But to satisfy my curiosity I've been trying and trying to find out what fault it was on, and I can't find a single mention of that

Huge day today. My curb appeal just went up more from this than all the other things I've ever done in the last 10 years combined.

I only took the siding down that needed to be taken down to get to what we needed to work on. The siding that is missing now will be salvaged from the garage today since you can't buy that color/style anymore. It was even worse on the back with no slats and just a few 1"x4" boards "framing" out the openings for the same garbage "windows" back there... also letting in all the water.

That's why I've had the entire thing wrapped up with visqueen for 2 years and it would be 125 degrees on that back porch when it was 90+ for a few days in a row. Finally got a ton of airflow in there again.

Sure, if you don't mind mini ones. This recipe I use makes around 24 regular sized ones that I usually freeze. But the freezer on this fridge isn't the best, so I am hoping that mini ones will freeze and last longer.

When it gets over 90, I exempt myself from ambitious schedules.

Do you intend to frost them before eating? Yanno, individually?

Not a big fan of buttercream altho I know it lasts longer without refrigeration. But for me ... too sweet. Whipped cream or cream cheese-based is more my style.

You mean ... there were no 2X4s holding up the roof at all? Or were these 1X5s just for the "window" "framing" with 2x4s elsewhere?

Nope. Not in the porch. They hold up the header at the end on a concrete slab where the shed is. 4x4's were between slats made of 1x5"s. It's hard to explain because literally nobody else in the country would have ever built that.
